Sakusa sighed once more as he looked out on the table he's assigned to.
One of his friends at work has married and they have invited him and his cousin but this time, Motori couldn't come because he's on a vacation with his lover who he met at Bokuto and Akaashi's wedding three months ago.
He could remember the disgusting sight of his cousin making out with a stranger which is now his cousin's lover and he would rather risk his life partying in a club full of horny people than to be with those two alone. Just plain gross.
He felt déjà vu hit him as he sat on table seventeen and this time, it wasn't even a petty request he asked for. Funny that the table is at the corner once more and he wouldn't mind being alone at the table again later, it felt better that way anyway.
The wedding reception started and just like a normal wedding reception, people ate, people socialize, and went with the entertainment the host offered.
He looked at the groom, who was smiling ever so righteous while holding hands with the bride whom he met once when she came with Kita in his workplace. She was nice, he could say but he didn't have the chance to know the girl better, not that he really minded.
He heard the music as people started dancing. He guessed that was really common on wedding receptions.
He checked the time and saw it was too early to leave. Maybe a glass of champagne or two could accompany him before he could leave silently.
As he sipped in his glass, he couldn't help but feel lonely. People his age are either dating or marrying already and here he is, sitting alone at a wedding reception with champagne as his date.
He usually doesn't bother with this kind of stuff, he actually never did.
But after meeting that certain piss blonde three months ago, he realized that deep inside, he still craves useless things such as love and relationships.
Someone who could truly understand and accept him for who he is, not because of how he could be.
His past relationships were a wreck, they always expect him to be someone else to the point that he doesn't know who he was already so he stopped after the last person who he barely remembers. And never bothered to find someone again.
He remembered the soulmates thing the piss blonde had said before. He doesn't believe in those things and even in fate. If they were true, shouldn't he have met Atsumu again already? But then again, he doesn't know how those things work.
Maybe he was just stupid enough that night to say that he'll rely on "soulmates". He should have just given his number that night and maybe, just maybe, he's not being grumpy about being single and alone.
He continued drinking as he watched people having fun. He decided he should just leave now before feeling more bitter about his situation. He stood up after finishing his glass until he heard that familiar annoying airy voice behind him.
"Omi-Omi?!"
'What in the world...' Sakusa thought as he turned around and saw that annoying attractive piss blonde with that annoying adorable grin on his face.
"IT IS YOU OMI-OMI!" Atsumu almost shouted but no one minded, the place was loud to start with.
