A/N: Continuation of 'tis the damn season!

Leni PoV
He squeezed my hand three times while we were inside the car. I looked at him and he gave me an reassuring smile. I smiled back. We were about to go a domestic out of town for 2 days for a simple gathering before the year ends. We were joined by some of our closest friends in the cabinet.
"Wag na tayong magsabay sa iisang sasakyan. Machismis pa tayo pag may nakakita eh." I remember telling him before leaving.
"Wala man ibang makakaalam." He assured me as he held my hand assisting me as we entered the car. "Yung mga kasama man natin dun puro kaibigan natin. Alam man nila yung tungkol saatin."
The car finally stopped. I looked outside and there I saw some cabinet members probably waiting for us. Security opened the car door for the both of us and so we hopped out. He held my hand as we walked towards our friends.
"Welcome, Mayor! Ma'am Leni!" Sec. Sonny, who owns the private resort welcomed us.
I gave him a nod and a smile even though he cannot see it because of the face mask. "Thank you, Sec.! Ganda dito, mahangin." I told him.
"I hope you enjoy your stay here, Ma'am! Sana makarelax tayong lahat." Sec. Sonny told me.
"Iba talaga pag ma-pera, makabili ka man ng ganitong property." Rody joked, everyone laughed. "Pati yata yung dagat sa'yo eh!" He followed as we looked around.
"Buti nalang pala kaibigan natin si Sonny, mayaman na kaibigan." Sec. Delfin said earning laughter from everyone.
"Mas mayaman 'to si Mayor!" Sec. Sonny looked at Rody. "Dapat bumili ka na din ng private resort para may mapuntahan kayong iba ni Ma'am Leni, diba Ma'am?" He looked at me.
I just nodded and laughed.
"Hindi nga ako makabili ng sariling pantalon, resort pa kaya!" Rody quipped. Everyone laughed and looked at me, they know what he's talking about. I squeezed his hand I am holding. He looked at me and held my hand tighter.
"Kay Ma'am Leni pala tayo dapat humirit ng resort kasi nasa kanya ang atm." Sec. Jun Evasco remarked. I blushed hard as they cheered.
"Mabuti nalang sumama ka Ma'am, akala ko ako lang mag-isang babae dito. At least dalawa tayo dito." Sec. Berna told me.
"Di dapat ako sasama kaya lang mapilit si Rody so ayun." I explained to her.
"May mga ibibigay akong shoes and skirt sa'yo Ma'am. Mga local brands sya, you'll love it." Berna excitedly told me.
"Ay sige sige, sec." I smiled at her, "Sana makavisit ako ulit sa mga communities. Magaganda mga products nila eh."
"Ito si Berna kung ano-ano binibigay dito kay Leni." Rody chimed in. Everyone laughed again.
"Mga local products naman lahat yun sir. Magaganda kaya. May binigay nga ako para sainyong dalawa, parang couple shirt." Berna defended.
"Sa dami ng binibigay mong damit, di na kasya sa cabinet. Yung cabinet namin sa bahay sakop lang lahat ng damit ni Leni, wala man akong mapaglagyan ng damit ko." Rody rebutted and loud cheers from everyone again. I slapped his arm as I laugh. I remember the times when he would tell me that I should donate some of my clothes because it's too plenty already.
We talked about the private resort for a few more minutes —how Sec. Sonny bought it, what renovations has to be made, and how his family enjoyed the view and the seafood every time they went here. He said his wife and children will arrived later too. I asked if he has grandchildren and he told me that he has 4 and all of them are coming over too. I am excited to meet the kids. I shared that I also want grandchildren, "Pero hiram-hiram muna sa ngayon kasi wala pang nag-aasawa sa mga anak ko."
