"Leni!" Sally excitedly called Leni early in the morning. She was having tea at the garden appreciating the grass she's stepping into, the flowers blooming every day and the morning fresh air, when someone came in unexpectedly.
"Anong meron?" Leni asked worriedly. She went down immediately from her room.
"Look who's here!" Sally announced with much enthusiasm.
Leni's expression changed immediately the moment she saw who came. "Katja!" She exclaimed and hugged her daughter tightly. They haven't seen each other for over a month now. Katja was equally happy to see her mom, but Leni was speechless the moment she saw who's with her daughter.
"Rod?" Leni said, his presence really knocks her socks off.
He smiled weakly at her, it's been a while since he last saw her. "Maam" he nods.
There was silence. Either one of them was unaware of what to say next after that awkward moment. Rody, up until now, cannot see her in the eyes like what he used to do before. He was still not over with the fact that she didn't want him in her life anymore, and it kills him. Leni, on the other hand, still feeling guilty about what happened between them. She wanted to do something but she cannot figure out how to act properly to get things better.
Sally cleared her throat, she can feel the awkwardness between the two. "Buti naman umuwi kayo. Dapat nagsabi kayo, nasundo sana namin kayo."
"It's okay mommy, babalik din po kami sa Davao. Kunin ko lang mga damit ko tapos mga gamit ko dito." Katja said.
Leni frowned, "Why? You're moving out?"
"Ay hindi naman ma, may mga importante lang akong mga gamit dito na naiwan. Tapos may event na pupuntahan si Papa sa Legazpi." Katja reasoned out.
Leni nodded, slowly taking in all her daughter's words.
"Akala ko pa naman miss mo na ako Rod kaya sumama ka dito." Sally jested.
"Syempre miss man kita mommy!" Rody chuckled.
"How are you?" Sally asked.
Rody smiled weakly, "Mabuti man po ako mommy. Busy naman sa City Hall kasi malapit na ang araw ng Dabaw, punta po kayo."
Sally beamed, "Sige sige, pupunta kami ni Leni."
"Sasama ka ma?" Katja asked.
"Hmm?" Leni didn't know what to say, she wanted to go as she misses attending the event but then, she was being hindered by her complicated relationship with Rody. Maybe she's just waiting for him to invite her to come. "Depende."
Katja frowned, "Depende saan?"
"Depende yata kung iinvite mo Rod." Sally smirked. Leni frowned at her mom.
"Everyone is invited mommy." Rody said. "Depende man kay Mam Leni kung magpunta sya."
"Puro kayo depende." Sally remarked. Katja smirked.
"Sama ka na mama, para naman ikaw ang ka-date ni Papa sa mga events diba." Katja teased.
"Katarina!" Leni frowned at her daughter.
"Kung ayaw mo edi isama nalang ni Papa yung bago nyang dinedate ngayon. Ano nga name nun Pa?" Katja asked her dad.
"You're dating?" Leni asked Rody.
