She went to Dinagat Islands once again after Christmas to see the situation there. She also met her friend and Governor of Dinagat Islands, Gov Kaka.
"It will be a quick visit just like what I've told you." She told him over the phone.
"Diretso ka na ba ng Bicol pagtapos mo dyan?" He asked.
"Yes yes. Bakit? Do you want to see me?" She asked.
"Yes." He almost whispered. "But the kids need you more, you have to be there."
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yes yes. Kailangan mo rin magpahinga. Let's just schedule some other time." He uttered.
"Okay. Just call me if you need anything." She said. "I'll always make time for you."

She's back in Bicol taking care the needs of her daughters. Tricia tested negative already while Aika and Jillian were in their best of health. Apparently, she was informed that one of her close in security tested positive for Covid that's why she needs to isolate.
"Think of it as your forced rest." He chuckled.
"Hindi nakakatawa." She rolled her eyes.
"Do you want me to go there?" He asked.
She frowned. "No! Just stay there. Mas safe ka dyan."
"Are you sure? I'll visit you lang, bring food ganyan." He offered.
"Rod, alam mo naman na hindi puwede diba? You coming here will compromise a lot of things." She reminded him.
"Okay fine." He sighed, defeated.
Later that night, she started to feel ill. She felt something on her throat which makes it difficult for her to swallow. She's positive it's going to be a tonsillitis. She got sick the next morning. She's expecting it though since she really had a bad tonsillitis. Her high fever continued until she cannot take in food anymore making Rody frantic.
"How's she?" He asked one of her security through FaceTime. She cannot answer her phone anymore due to her condition. "Kumakain na ba?"
"Hindi pa sir. Naka-dextrose na po si maam since hindi po kumakain." Her security said, pointing the camera to her for him to see.
Rody paused as he stared at her through the screen. She was sleeping with her IV on. He was informed that her doctor put a tourniquet on her to start an IV. He also watched how many times a needle was inserted to her before starting the IV. "Babe?" He almost whispered.
She slowly opened her eyes, "Hi!" She tried to smile.
"How are you? Did I interrupt your sleep?" He asked.
"I'm feeling better now." She said weakly.
"Pupunta na ako dyan babe. I can't just watch you from here." He said, ready to fly out anytime for her.
"No. I'm okay. Just stay there. Baka mahawa ka." She insisted.
"You're not okay. Please let me take care of you." He pleaded.
She shook her head, "I will be okay if you're okay. Please stay there. Please, babe."
He sighed, "Okay. But please magpalakas ka. Force yourself to eat kahit konti. Magpadala man ako dyan ng prutas."
She smiled weakly at him, "I will. I love you."
He smiled, "I love you too. Happy new year!"
