"Mommy?" Leni went downstairs searching for her mom but she couldn't find her in her room and in the living room. "Mommy? Saan ka?"
"Sa kitchen." Sally answered.
Leni frowned upon seeing her mom wearing an apron, she must be cooking something. "Since when do you learn how to cook?"
Sally smirked, "Um since last month? I perfected how to cook eggs."
Leni laughed, "Wow! It took you a month before learning how to cook eggs. I'm proud."
Sally laughed, "That's why I'm cooking adobo now."
Leni's eyes bulged, "Adobo agad?"
"Why not?" Sally uttered.
"From eggs to adobo? Di ka man lang dumaan ng hotdog or corned beef?" Leni uttered, surprise with what her mom was doing.
"Wala ka yatang bilib saakin eh." Sally remarked. "Teka, bakit mo nga pala ako hinahanap?"
Leni looked at her mom with troubled face, "Mommy." She started.
"Si Rody yan." Sally smirked. She knew her daughter very well.
Leni sighed, "He kissed me last night."
"And? You're pregnant?" Sally looked at her daughter.
Leni facepalmed herself, "Mommy naman! Seryoso nga kasi."
Sally chuckled, "O seryoso naman ako ah."
"We hold hands too. Hinolding hands nya ako nung nasa St. Jude kami kahapon." Leni followed.
"Dun kayo kinasal diba?" Sally recalled.
Leni nodded. "And ma, he's still wearing his ring."
Sally frowned, "What ring? You mean wedding ring?"
Leni nodded.
"Hmm baka naman he just wear it now para magpa-pogi sa'yo?" Sally smirked, but deep inside she knew Rody couldn't do that. She was impressed.
"Naisip ko din yan mommy that's why I checked his fb page, syempre Mayor sya madami syang mga pictures dun." Leni shared. "And I confirmed that in every picture," she sighed.
"In every picture? Ano?" Sally asked eagerly.
"He's wearing the ring." Leni dropped. Sally smiled, she knew Rody will really kept the ring on his finger.
"And?" Sally asked, quite confused of what's her daughter's point.
"And, and I don't know— I mean—" Leni paused and heave a deep sigh, "What if nadadala lang sya ng emotions nya? What if he didn't mean all those things? What if wala lang yun lahat sa kanya? What if ganon talaga sya sa lahat ng mga babae nya? What if ma-misinterpret ko yung mga holding hands, kiss and all that? Mommy, what if—"
"What if bumigay ka?" Sally cut her off.
Leni just nodded.
Sally sighed, "Alam mo anak, ikaw lang at si Rody ang makakasagot ng lahat ng what if's mo. Figure it out habang maaga pa para maiwasan nyo yung magkasakitan kayo ulit. Isa pa, between the two of us mas kilala mo sya, so mafefeel mo kung totoo ba yung kiss and holding hands na yan."
"Pero mommy, it's been 20 years since we last hold each other's hands, 20 years since the last time that we kissed. Di ko na alam kung kilala ko pa sya." Leni expressed.
"Leni relax, okay." Sally advice. "Don't overthink too much. Di ka makakapag-isip ng maayos nyan. Alam mo anak, kung mahal mo pa si Rody wala namang masama kung bumigay ka eh."
