After defeating the witch on their travels, the Samurai and the Princess recruited her to aid in their epic quest.
Halfway to their destination, the Samurai was about to face his next great challenge in the town he and his companions stopped by in to rest.
Chapter 2: Fortune within the mind.
It was a dark full moon night as our heroes enter a nice little town, celebrating some kind of event.
(Y/n):(mind) "Celebrating some kind of event". Wow, what a detailed description to set up a scene.
Misaka:(childishly) Oh wow... So pretty... What do you think there celebrating?
Shizuri: Hmmm... Full moon. Middle of spring. Yeah... Uh-huh.
Shizuri: If I had to guess, they seem to be celebrating "some kind of event" day.
(Y/n): Enough mocking this place. Let's find an... Inn?
Shizuri: An Inn?
(Y/n): Or a brothel where I can sell you two. Whichever we see first will decide your fate.
Misaka:(angrily) Oh (Y/n), you jokester...!
In search of a place to spend the night, our heroes find what the town is celebrating.
Misaki: Ooooh ho ho ho ho~
Misaki: Thank you. Thank you. You are all so kind.
A star-eyed lady was the center of attention.
Misaki: As a reward for your kindness, I shall read the town's fortune for free.
Misaki: This town... Will have good luck!
("Crowd" cheering)
(Y/n): What's this?
Misaka:(childishly) A fortunate teller, duh.
(Y/n): Not that. These damn prices. In this period?
With the samurai more interested in the prices of fruit than the fortune teller being treated like a celebrity, this caught said, fortunate teller's attention.
Misaki:(overly acting) Huh?!?! What's this?!
Misaki:(overly acting) Someone paying attention to fruit then... ME!?
Misaki:(overly acting) This... This dreadful offense I simply cannot let stand!
Misaki:(overly acting) For I have spent so much time and effort to get where I am now to just get ignored by this stranger!
Misaki:(overly acting) Yes... This reminds me of when I was once but a wee little girl... It all started-
Shizuri: Yeah, yeah, okay. That's enough. It's time to get on with important things.
Misaka:(mind) Always trying to steal the spot life... You need to cool it Misaki.
Misaki: What I'm trying to talk about is extremely important! Now as I was saying-
The fortuneteller went on to explain her origins. She then explained how she can read and control minds. From that, the heroes were able to piece together why the village was celebrating her.
Misaki: H-hey! Don't just interrupt my scene!
(Y/n): Ha! Even the narrator didn't want to hear your speech.
Misaki: Grrr...
Anger stewed within the fortuneteller. In her rage, she tried to take control of the samurai who struggled with pain to stay in control.
