Raven sighed as she stared out over the city below. She sat near the top of the tallest tree she could find. Looking out over the city in awe, "Sleep and remember. Sleep, Sleep..."  Raven softly sang as she looked at the picture in the locket she wore.

"Don't cry. Sleep, and remember...So I'll be with you when you dream." Raven closed the locket and looked up at the sky.

"Pretty," Ace said and Raven jumped so suddenly she nearly fell out of the tree.

"What are you doing up here?" Raven asked, tucking the necklace back into her shirt. "I'd assume the same thing you are, hiding from everyone." Ace said as he moved along the side of the branch to sit right next to her. His legs on either side of him and he leaned back on the tree trunk.

"Apparently I didn't do too well at it." Raven smirked looking down, "Where did you learn that song, I've never heard it before." Ace said, Raven's smirk faded.

"I'd hope not, my-my mother sang it to me when I was young." Raven said softly, "Oh, well it's pretty." Ace shrugged still staring at her despite the fact she was avoiding his gaze.

"Is that her in the locket?" Ace asked having reached out and tugged at the chain pulling it from her shirt before she could stop him. Her hand moved swiftly clasping the locket in one hand while his finger held the chain. Raven paused as she stared at him, he had stopped the moment she had moved to stop him, yet he didn't move away.

"Yes," Raven said as she slowly took Ace's hand and placed the locket in it open, Ace watched her do this. A smile playing on his lips.

"You look a lot like her," Ace said glancing between the photo and Raven making her blush. "Thank you," Raven said softly, before adding, "It's the only photo of my mother I have," She looked down as they sat there. "You're lucky," Ace said looking away, the locket fell back to her chest, and she leaned back.

"Don't have any of your family?" Raven asked, Ace sat a little straighter and shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"Of my father, yes, but I've only ever seen one or two of my mother. I exactly didn't get a chance to know her," Ace sighed, looking out over the city.

"I'm sorry," Raven said, "No need, people die these things happen all we can do is move forward." Ace said, Raven watched him as he stared out over the city.

"Does that mean you were raised by your father?" Raven asked, Ace let out a bark of a laugh for a second.

"No, no. He died as well but that was well before I was born, he was an idiot whose lust for gold ruined everything." Ace said and Raven took in a deep breath.

"Well then we have something in common. Pirates tend not to love their family more than gold." Raven said, "Your father was a pirate?" Ace asked glancing at her again, "From what I gathered yes. Mother didn't tell me much about him, and from the sounds of it he doesn't even know I exist." Raven explained, "Do you plan on finding him? Finding out who he is?" Ace asked, Raven, shook her head.

"No if it happens it happens. However, I think it is best if I never know who he is and he never knows who I am." Raven said, "Why's that?" Ace asked, "No point," Raven shrugged, "I understand," Ace nodded, "So-"

"Raven!?" Michaels's voice echoed around them, they both looked down to find Michael looking around for her.

"For f*cks sake how does he keep doing that?" Ace muttered, Raven put a hand over her mouth to stifle a giggle. "He very good at tracking, could find just about anyone if you ask." Raven said, "So he's a dog?" Ace scoffed, "Hey be nice, he's my dog after all." Raven said flicking her hair over her shoulder as she moved closer to Ace.
