Episode 2- Shards

The sun going to down through the window. Raven was in a hospital bed her chest wrapped in bandages, she was asleep. Michael sitting by the bed looking out the window, Max walks in without his armor.

"Hey," Max said, Michael looked at him then back out the window. "How's my princess?" Max asked, "Were are the others?" Michael asks ignoring Max's question, Max's smile vanished and he looked down as he placed flowers on the bedside table.
"They're gone," Max said, "I assumed as much," Michael said still looking out the window. "You knew they'd leave?" Max asks in surprised, "Why would they stay?" Michael said coldly.
"Because were all apart of the same crew," Max said as if it was supposed to be obvious. "And that's why they left," Michael said, "What?" Max looking at Michael like he was insane.
"You don't get it Max do you?" Michael asked irritated, "No I suppose I don't, why would the crew leave when we still have our amazing captain?" Max asked, "No we don't Max..." Michael said trailing off as he looked over at Raven.
"Of course we do she's right here and still breathing, soon she'll be up on her feet and we'll be off to the grand line." Max said enthusiastically, "You know nothing," Michael commented, "Fine then explain it to me!?" Max yelled, Michael stood and walked to the end of the bed.
"When the shackles broke, pieces of them them lodged in her chest. The doctors say that she'll live, but the piece will still be there and it be too dangerous to operate." Michael explained, "So?" Max asked, Michael took a step towards him glaring, "So!? Those shackles were made of sea prism stone. You know what they do to her, they may have not been pure stones but they were enough to make sure she couldn't use her powers. Since she ate that fruit she can't swim and now she can't even use her powers, and it's all my fault." When he stopped he was crying now, and shaking with anger.
"It wasn't your fault it was those stupid sword-" Max started,"It's not just the swords Max! If I was even half a strong as my father I'd be able to control those swords, but I'm not." Michael said hopelessly, "You're getting better though this time you didn't kill anyone," Max reminded him, "That's not good enough, I didn't kill anyone but I did hurt the one person I-" 

"It wasn't your fault," Raven said, Michael and Max both turned. Raven was sitting up in her bed her hand on her chest. "Princess you need to lay down." Max said rushing to her side. Raven flung off her sheets and stepped down from the bed.
"This isn't your fault none of it was." Michael looked down as she spoke, "It was, if I had never given you that fruit and if I didn't have those cursed sword-" Michael started, "Stop," She said with so much power in her voice that he immediately went silent.
"You know how much I hate that word... IF..." Raven spat the word with disdain, "If this, or if that... you call yourself a pirate," she shook her head.
"Your right I shouldn't call myself a pirate, if I wasn't here if I do any of this your crew wouldn't have left-" Michael started, "I said stop! Don't you even start trying to take the blame for anything I've done. It wasn't your fault I ate that fruit when I was a kid it was my choice, and only my choice." She yelled, pausing only for a second before she continued. "It was never your fault for giving it to me, I asked for it. I couldn't swim before I ate that fruit, and I ate it knowing the only thing I could take from me was the chance too learn. Other than that, all it has given me is hope." She smiled and winced as she moved toward him, Michael who hung his head.
"Don't you dare blame yourself for any of this." Raven grabbed on to Max as she nearly fell over, "Princess..." Max said worry in his voice, she held up her hand stopping him.
"Now as for my crew, if they didn't stay they don't have the right to call themselves pirates let alone our family. You know what we're going to do we're going to set out to the grand line as planned, we'll beat them and everyone else to the One Piece. I will find it, I'll take down the World Government, and avenge my home!" Michael looked up at her a smile on his face.
"Now go ready the ship for sail we'll leave as soon as I change out of these stupid hospital clothes." She ordered, "But Captain you can't you need to stay and heal," Michael protested, "I've fought with worse injuries-" "-And you still won." Michael added, "Now I believe I gave you an order, so..." Raven said smiling, he looked down then with a small smile still on his face he said. "As you wish Captain." He then left without another word, Max help Raven back onto the bed grabbing her clothing. 

"Your really something, you know that Princess." Max mused as he stared at her. "What did I say about calling me that?" Raven asked sternly, "To not to, but I can't help it. You are after all my Princess," Max said with a big smile, "Your really annoying you know that?" Raben said sarcastically. "What ever you say, Princess." Max gave her, her clothes and turned around so she could change.
"So... Where is Garp?" Raven asked sounding as if she already knew the answer. "We beat him up and sank him to the bottom of the ocean." Max said with out a hint of sarcasm, "He took pity on us, didn't he?" Raven asked, wincing and almost wanting to ask Max for help.
"No," he said trying to act innocent, "Is that why the crew left?" she asked, "Partly," Max shrugged, "And the other part?" Raven asked, "I don't know, I guess they thought it wasn't worth it." Max shrugged, "So who is left?" Raven asked, "Who do you think?" Max countered and she sighed, "Just us the four of us then...Well I guess we'll just have to take on the grand line ourselves. Not like we haven't face worse... You can turn around now."
When Max turned back around Raven was looking down at her hand. she opened and closed her hand but nothing happened.
"So I really can't use my powers...but I can still move." She said sounding determined and stood only slightly wobbly. He was at her side in a flash, "Want me to carry you?" He asked with a goofy grin on his face, "That won't be necessary, I can walk." She said heading toward the door and nearly falling over when she got there. Max laughed a little and picked her up.
"I won't say anything to Michael if you wont." He said sarcastically, "Deal, now lets go before they notice I'm gone." Raven ordered, "Of course, my Princess."
