"Are we there yet?" Max asked, "Does it look like it?" Francis snapped, Max sighed and started doing push ups. "We haven't see land for days," Max groaned. "What do you want me to say Max, it's going to be a while before we see land again." Francis told him. "What do we do now?" Mac asked, "Keep following the paper." Francis said turning the wheel to follow the paper.
"How do we even know they'll be there?" Max asked, "Max trust me when I say not even the gods could stop Raven from finding White Beard, and you know it." Francis said, "Yeah I know, I'm just getting cabin fever." Max said starting to do jumping jacks to get rid of his energy.
"Well don't get to comfortable looks like we company," Francis said, not far ahead of them was a small fleet of Marines.
"Oh not these losers, I need a real challenge." Max groaned, "They looks like trainees ship," Franis pointed out, "Well our food supply is a little low. Want to play with them?" Mac suggestioned, "Would Raven really want us to?" Francis asked, "Oh come on I need to train, Raven said I have to train every day. Who else will give me a bit of a work out?" Max asked, "Fine but only if they attack first and I'm not helping." Francis said, "Deal, I can handle these clowns by myself anyway." Max said stretching.***
Raven laughed as she watched Ace's crew fight the pirates invading White Beards territory. Ace's crew wasn't doing bad, but not good either. All except the other groups captain and first mate didn't have devil fruit powers, and on top of that the captain could use Haki. Even without the Haki the captain was still a very large size and had brute strength on his side.
Raven ate an ice cream cone as she sat on a rooftop not far from where Ace was fighting the captain. The big dude was strong and not a bad fighter, Ace was thrown off a bit by the fact the guy could punch him. Yet as she had agreed she wasn't going to interfere, which she was only slightly regretting.
Not that she wanted to in the first place, watching Ace fight was way more entertaining. He was brilliant and the fire he played with just as hot as he was. Raven smirked as Ace hit the guy square in the face. He went flying, she was just starting to get bored when she saw some kids trying to escape the other fighting. Unknown to them they were heading strait into Ace's fight. She didn't even think about it just moved, she had barely landed in front of the two kids before Ace came flying through a building strait at them. She blocked the kids from getting hit by debris. The kids ran away the moment the big captain dude came through the rubble towards Ace. Ace was trying to regain his bearings when the guy hit him again with Haki.Ace laid there ready for another hit, but nothing happened no pain came. He opened his eyes to find Raven standing in front of him, the mans fist stopped mid air by her arm. Yet they both noticed she wasn't using Haki. Ace's face was bleeding, bruises forming on his arms and stomach where he had gotten hit badly he had a few small cuts here and there.
"What?" The man said surprised, Raven just smiled. The dude stepped back then tried kicking her, he misses but how Ace nor the man could tell. It hadn't looked like she had moved. "What the?!" He shouted trying to punch her with Haki she dodged, as he tried again and again.
Ace watched the fight wanting to say something about her jumping in but couldn't. He felt as if the fight had hypnotized him. It was like the guy was moving in slow motion compared to her. Every hit he did get on her, she'd smile for some reason. Which made Ace think that she was taking them on purpose. Ace watched as the guy uses the same over powered move that sent him flying. Yet when the dust cleared she was still in the same spot she had been, not even the dust at her bare feet had been disturbed. "H-how... are you still standing?" The man asked, "Did you know you have a tell?" Raven asked calmly like they hadn't just been fighting.
"What?" the guy asks pulling away and punching again each time missing her. "You're left foot are always pointed the opposite way your going to hit." Raven said as he hit again, "Oh you also always aim for the face with your punches and kick for the stomach with your left foot," Raven pointed out calmly. Then he went in for a kick. This time for her face, she cought it in her hand like she had been stopping a door rather than his foot.
"See a that one was close a little variety and you almost hit me there." Raven said almost sounding as if she was mocking him. He frantically started attacking her, she didn't dodge she blocked every attack with her hands.
"Hold up, don't blindly attack with rage. It may be good to add variety, but blind attacks are just as useless." Raven said, but he didn't listen just punched again this time actually hitting her face, she blocked this time flying off into a wall. He laughed until he saw her stand up again.
"Mine turn," Raven said, her smile turning cruel, her eyes almost glinting with rage. Ace watched frozen, he knew something was wrong. He had a bad feeling and it wasn't his cracked rib. She moved so fast Ace blinked and she was suddenly in mid air just a foot from the dudes face. She kicked him in the chin and he flew backwards into the wall. Then she was front of him again in a blink of an eye, Ace holding his injured stomach watching her confused. This couldn't be the same girl who had been cooking them heart shaped pancakes this morning, was it?
The man was up in no time, but she taken his arm and threw him almost effortlessly over her shoulder. He got up slowly her smile widened, she jumped spinning aiming to kick him in the face again. He stopped her foot just barely with his hand. She pushed off of his hand spinning the other way kicking him again. He ended up leaning forward in pain, she smirked."You lose," Raven said before she kicked his head into the ground. She landed softly on the ground and brushed her hands on her pants as she walked away. She walked strait to Ace a normal smile on her face, and held out her hand.
"You're not to badly injured are you?" Raven asked, Ace looked at the arm she had protected him with. A bruise was starting to form barely visible beneath the edge of her sleeve.
"I thought I said to not interfere," Ace said, though he didn't sound angry. "I won't tell if you won't. After all I couldn't let that pretty face of yours get to badly injured." Raven laughed and Ace smiled shaking his head. He only stopped when he saw blood running down her face.
"You didn't have to," Ace said, resisting the edge to brush back her hair to see where she was bleeding. "I don't have to do a lot of things but I'm a pirate and I do what I want." Raven said still smiling softly. He laughed, "What?" she asked, "Nothing," Ace said and turned to walk away. He stumbled, his foot was bleeding and turning purple. She caught his arm and without a word draped it over her shoulder.
"I won't tell if you wont," he repeated her words to her, and she smiled. "Come on 'fire fist' lets get you back to your crew."
