Enemies never friends

Chapter 5

Hawks turned around and started walking. Angel followed right behind him. It was my turn to follow.

We made it in a building, it was big. It was also close to the school. This must be the dorms. "This is where you're going to live from now on." Hawks explained. Too bad for him, I wasn't staying long.

He led us into the building. Everything was neatly in place. I had an urge to burn the whole building down. I pushed that feeling away. We made it into what seemed like a huge living room. 

"Well kids I got stuff to do. Angel take her to her room." He handed Angel a piece of paper, probably with my room number in it.

Hawks walked off, leaving me with Angel. I watched Hawks leave. When I turned back around Angel was gone. I wanted to strangle them. I looked all around for them. They ended up being in the hallway on my right side. They waited for me, with an annoying look on their face. I walked towards them, once I started walking, they went ahead. Not waiting for me to get there.

This was getting annoying; I don't understand what is so wrong with me. "Wait up!" I ran towards them. "Walk faster." I was a second away from burning them alive.

They finally stopped in front of a room. "This is your room." They opened it, revealing a bed. I wanted to cry. I ran and jumped on it. It was so soft, I never wanted to get up.

My stomach growled. I haven't eaten all day. Now that I was for sure in, the hunger kicked in. "Is there anything to eat?" I asked. "You could go cook in the kitchen." The pointed to the way we just came from.

"I don't know how to cook." This was one of those times I wished I knew something. "You don't know how to cook?" They stared at me, their face calling me useless. "I mean I could cook chicken right now." I shrugged, extending my hand, showing a small blue flame. "Hurt me, and I could easily put you in jail." They rolled their eyes and walked off.

I ran to the door. "Wait! What about my food?" They looked back, irritated. "I'm not your slave, find some food, or buy some. I really don't care what you do." They turned back around. "I don't have any money." I saw their hands turn into a fist. They stomped over at me, throwing money at me. "Aren't you supposed to be watching my every move?" 

Now they walked in the opposite direction. "Come on." I don't know where they're taking me, but I gladly went with them.

We walked out of the school campus. They suddenly carried me in their arms, no consent, nothing. "You can't just do that without telling me first." They jumped up and we were in the air. "Do you want food or not? I could drop you right now if you don't." For a soon to be hero that didn't seem genuinely nice. "And you want to be a hero? Not like that. What happened to the old flirt?" They rolled their eyes. "I don't like getting my wings burnt very much."

They were still stingy about that? I didn't say anything after that.

We finally landed. "Don't say a word. Just let me do my thing. Got it?" Aggressive much? I put my hands up, what could he possibly do? They went up to the cashier. Putting one arm on the counter and one behind them.

I couldn't believe it. They were going to flirt their way for food. "Hey." They smiled at the cashier. The cashier gasped and giggled. I mean who wouldn't? They were breathtaking. "I- Uhm- what would you- you like to order!?" The lady was having speech problems now? Come on. They aren't that breathtaking. I rolled my eyes; I couldn't believe this was working.

"You." They winked. The lady looked like she was about to faint. I couldn't believe women were like this. Who would fall for something like that!?

"Can I get two burgers?" They gave the cashier a full smile, teeth, and everything. They were blinding. Just like everything, perfect teeth. The lady was hyperventilating now, she quickly grabbed the bags behind her, and handed it to them. She didn't even ask for the money. I rolled my eyes.
