Enemies never friends

chapter 8

"What do you say?" Angel shrugged. They were still here. It had only been about a month since I first met them. I didn't even know if I liked them.

"What?" I couldn't say anything else. Angel rubbed their neck. "Would you...well, go on a date with me?" They said it again. I barely had any friends. Angel was one of the few "friends" I had here. Including Bakugo.

Bakugo and I had gotten really close throughout this month. Angel occasionally came to hang out with us. They just popped out of nowhere, we never minded. "As friends?" I was hoping it was as friends. "Uhm maybe more than friends?" They said nervously. I was in shock.

"More than friends?" I wonder what more than friends meant. "Y/n this is embarrassing. You know what I'm talking about." I honestly didn't.

"I really don't." I shrugged, this was getting boring and awkward. I wanted out as soon as possible.

"You've never dated anyone? I thought you were joking that time!" I laughed. "You didn't believe me when I said I've never had a boyfriend?" This was taking too long. They were just standing there.

I would invite them inside, but I don't want to. "Well, obviously not. Look at yourself why wouldn't you have a significant other?" I felt my eyebrows come together. "What's that supposed to mean?" I aggressively said. "Nothing nothing, it's just that it's hard to believe you wouldn't have someone."

I walked out of the room, closing the door behind me. I didn't realize how close Angel was to the door until I closed it.

I could feel their breath. I felt a pinch in my chest. We were a little too close to each other. "So what do you say? Will you be my first girlfriend?" I couldn't hold it in. I burst out laughing. I felt tears in my eyes. My stomach started hurting from all that laughing. I had to take a breather. I sat on the floor looking up at them.

They had an alarmed look on their face. I wiped off the tears on my face. "Did I say something wrong?" They were panicking now. "Your first girlfriend?" I laughed a bit more. That was hilarious. "What's wrong with that!?" Their expressions were hilarious. They changed every second.

"Angel. Listen buddy. Your not all that smart. You don't have some excuse like you were studying. Your good looking. Everyone loves you. What's the reason that I'm your first girlfriend?" "First girlfriend? So that's a yes?" A smug look on their face. Now I was the one panicking. "I never said that. Don't put words in my mouth." "I didn't. you clearly said, "What's the reason that I'm your first girlfriend?" That's exactly what you said" They offered me a hand.

I took their hand, helping me get up. "I didn't say that." I frowned, dusting off the dirt on my pants. "Oh, but you did. Come on let's go out to eat."They put an arm around me walking me off. "Wait." I stopped in my tracks. "What's wrong." They looked back towards me.

"I've been practicing." I was nervous. My hands started sweating immensely. I looked down at the floor, unable to look at them. "Practicing what?" They walked over to me. "I'm tired of eating junk food. So I asked Baku to teach me how to cook. He's surprisingly good at it."My hands were now scorching hot. Of course, I couldn't feel it myself, but my sleeves started smoking. I quickly swiped at it. Trying to make it stop. I made it even worse.

I took it off, stomping at it. Angel just stood there, very confused. I finally stopped it from setting on fire. I turned around awkwardly, looking straight at Angel. "Would you like to eat my food?" I quickly said, turning around walking quickly towards the kitchen. Not waiting for them to answer.

I heard wings. I looked back. They weren't there. They probably were joking around and left the moment I asked them. I sighed, turning back around to go at least make myself some food. Only to find an upside-down face looking straight at me. I laughed. "What are you doing there?"
