We were about to walk out of the hospital doors when Hawks stopped us. "Go on Bakugo, I want to talk to y/n." Bakugo nodded and headed to the school without me.

"Take a seat." Hawks pointed at all the empty seats. Once I sat down, he sat down in front of me. I was too old for a pep talk.

"I approve of your relationship." This came out of nowhere. "I never remembered asking for your approval." Hawks sighed. "Yea, your right. I just wanted to talk about your relationship. I know you keep in contact with Dabi." I kept a straight face, inside I was screaming. Panicking.

I said nothing in response.

"Angels' mom was a villain." That was when I gasped.

"Was?" He nodded. "A hero killed her. I have no taste of revenge for that because I begged her to become a hero. She didn't listen. I know what it is like to be with a villain. I don't want to take you away from Angel' cause that would break them. I just want them to be happy, they are happy now."

That doesn't change the fact that he knows I talk with dad.

Yet, I felt sympathy for Angel. They don't know that their mother died. "You could say Angel is following in my footsteps. But I don't want them to end as I ended. So I'm going to ask you. Do you keep in contact with Dabi? Don't lie either, I already know." He relaxed and laid back.

"I do." I said truthfully. "That act of yours at the police station was amazing, really you could be an actress." I laughed. "So what are you going to do now? Turn me in?" Hawks shook his head. "No. In all honesty, I just want to talk to him. It's been years." I lifted an eyebrow.

"You know him?" Hawks laughed loudly. "Yea, I do! We used to be best buds as children. Then he went through the wrong path, and we hate each other. Well, he hates me." That couldn't be it. Dad wouldn't have a grudge like this just because. "That can't be all. What is the true reason he hates you?" I was determined to get it out of him.

"Your a smart one. What if I told you, I liked your mother?" I froze, that was kind of weird. He better not come out with Angel being my brother. "Could you not pause after saying stuff like this? It makes people get wrong thoughts." He laughed. "Well, your right y/n. Angel is your brother." I stood up. I was about to walk out those hospital doors until Hawks fell to the floor laughing.

"You child. Don't play with people like that! Your in a hospital for god's sake!" He got off from the floor, still laughing, and sat in his seat. "I'm just playing y/n. Angel isn't your brother. I fell in love with your mother before I met Angel's. Dabi absolutely resented me for it. She left him and left you with him. Honestly, what a shitty mother you have." He started picking at his nails.

He wasn't wrong, my mother was pretty shitty. But she also gave birth to me, I couldn't let her be disrespected.

"And what a dead wife you have." He put on a smile. "Touche. Just don't let Angel hear that. Overall, I fell in love with your mother. Dabi hated me for it. Then I met Angel's mother. We fell in love. Then I found out you were born. I also found out how Jess disappeared. Then a few months later Angel was born, then she died when she didn't want to give up. Yada yada yada. That's the story of my life. Now give me a round of applause for me." He got up from the chair and walked off towards Angel's room.

That was it? I didn't even understand the gist of this conversation. Was he just approving of our relationship? Was he warning me to not do anything with dad because he'll turn me in? Or did he just want to inform me of his tragic backstory? He wasn't even the main character!

I got up and finally left the hospital. I wasn't going to go to school right away. I couldn't either way, I had agreed I was going to meet them today. Once I started walking on the street, I realized how far UA actually was from the hospital. I must be in good shape then.
