JENNIFER POV

I sighed, staring longingly at my soulmate. Of course he doesn't know it yet. Oh hi! My name is Jennifer Lorenzo. I'm a 16 year old student at Goode High. My soulmate is none other than Percy Jackson. How I know we're soulmates, you may ask? Well, he always smiles at me and laughs at my jokes! He's obviously into me! But he talks about this girl with blonde hair and gray eyes a lot. I'm sure they're just friends though! Anyways, here's some stuff about me! I have dark, rich, chocolatey brown hair which I dyed because I hated the pale brown it was originally. And I have crystal blue eyes which are contacts but you would wear them too if your eyes were gross mossy green! I'm born and raised in America and I have olive skin. Oh no! Im late to class!

It's now lunch. I'm waiting for Percy to enter the lunch room so I can ask him out. He will obviously say yes. Squeal! There he is! But he's with another girl. This girl looks like who Percy talks about a lot. She has honey blonde hair and scary gray eyes. She also looks extremely fit like Percy. They were holding hands and talking and laughing. I narrowed my eyes. I hope they aren't a couple.

"Hey Jennifer. I'd like you to meet Annabeth, my girlfriend," Percy said. Girlfriend kept echoing in my head. Oh well! Just have to get rid of her.

"Lovely to meet you!" I said with a fake, large smile.

"You too," she responded with a smile, less large and fake than mine. They say and Percy decided to go get himself a drink. Annabeth pulled a bag of blue cookies from Percy's lunch bag and ate one. That's rude.

"Ok listen Annie." I said in a sickly sweet voice.

"Don't call me Annie," she glared and I flinched. Then she smirked and went back to her cookies.

"Look. Percy's my soulmate and future husband so why don't you just leave," I told her. She looked at me and raised an eyebrow before bursting out laughing.

"Yeah. Right. Totally. I'll go do that now." Annabeth said sarcastically. I was about to reply when Percy cake back with a water bottle and a blue coke. He handed the water to Annie who thanked him and took a sip.

"I hope you guys are getting along. My girlfriend and my closest school friend!" Percy exclaimed. I'll admit the word "friend" hurt.

"I'm going to the bathroom, Seaweed Brain." Annabeth said and kissed his cheek.

"Kay Kay wise girl!" He replied enthusiastically, munching on two cookies at a time.

Once she was out of hearing range, I said, "I'll be right back," with a huge happy smile and fluttered my lashes. He didn't looked up from his cookie but nodded. I huffed and walked into the hallway. I stood there for a few seconds before running back into the lunch room. I approached the table quickly.

"Percy! I just saw Annabeth kissing a random guy in the hallway!" I cried in false worry and sympathy.

He did the one thing I didn't expect. He burst out laughing.

"Annabeth! Cheat! On me?! HAHA!" He continued laughing until Annabeth came in the room. She shook her head dismissively, as if this happened often.

"What happened this time?" She asked in a bored tone.

"She-she said you were cheating on me!" He laughed again. Annabeth laughed too before abruptly stopping and staring straight at me.

"Look, I know you like Percy but he clearly doesn't like you back. I know that you can find someone who's perfect for you and I know that you can also be a strong, independent woman who needs no man." Annabeth told me. I nodded and thought it over. I smiled, a genuine smile, which she returned.

Her advice helped. It's been three years since that day and now I have a steady job and a steady relationship with the love of my life. So, thank you Percabeth.
