Chapter 24

Moonbyul's birthday is fast approaching, fast like the beat of her heart as she waits for Irene at one of the restaurants near the place where Irene and Seulgi were shooting for another episode of Level Up Project.

They have grown some intimate bond for the past few weeks they've been together. And yes, moonbyul was thankful for all Irene's effort and the time she spent for the girl just to make her not to feel alone. That's why even if moonbyul doesn't know what's her relationship with Irene, she decided to tell Irene Yongsun's confession the other day.

Moonbyul knows she will hurt Irene with this, but she doesn't want to hide it from the girl also. Irene was the sweetest and understanding person she has met. She doesn't want to lie just because Irene might get hurt with it. Irene deserves the truth. With cold fingers and an unsteady heartbeat, moonbyul fix herself when she saw Irene come out from the car, running towards her direction.

She also saw seulgi came out of the car just to chase Irene while holding a coat. Moonbyul looks at the sky and notices the snow is starting to fall. She looks at the two again and saw how seulgi put the coat on Irene's shoulder. Seulgi also grabs both of Irene's hands and put them between hers, seulgi lift their hands towards her mouth and blew some air while saying a few things to Irene. All moonbyul read from seulgi's mouth is the words 'take care' before Irene let go and bid her goodbye. Even if Irene was now entering the restaurant, seulgi was still standing at her spot looking at Irene as she enters the door. A weak smile formed on her lips as she drags her feet back at the car that was waiting for her.

Moonbyul saw seulgi's eyes. She was aware of what it is because that's the way she looks at yongsun before. She looks worried for the girl but that's not what moonbyul saw most.

She saw how seulgi look at Irene's figure, lovingly.

"Byulie-" Irene spoke that made moonbyul whipped her head towards the girl's direction as she stood up to kiss Irene in her temple. Every time they'll meet, moonbyul will always give Irene a kiss that made the girl's heart melt.

A small gesture that can make Irene feel that she's been loved.

Moonbyul grabs the chair and to let Irene sit. If people will saw what moonbyul was doing, they will judge her as a wannabe gentleman. But if you know her, you'll know that it is one of her nature. Irene will not fall in love with her if she's not.

"I saw seulgi." Moonbyul spoke when she had sat down comfortably in front of Irene. As Irene heard the name of seulgi, her mind automatically thinks of seulgi sweet gestures earlier. How the girl chases her even if she's now far away and how she blew her hands to make her feel warm.

"Ah yes. She insisted to take me here that's why." All irene answered and grip the coat seulgi put on her shoulder, a smile formed on her lips.

"Does she knows I'm the one you'll be meeting? I should've said hello to her." Moonbyul responded and call the waiter's attention to get their orders. Irene looks at moonbyul, hoping that maybe the girl was jealous of seulgi. But to no luck, she doesn't look jealous. She looks somehow relieved.

For what?

"Uhm no. She just knows I'm meeting a friend." Irene said as the waiter was now standing between them to get their orders.

The snow outside is starting to fall hard as the road becomes foggy and slippery. Irene kept glancing at moonbyul who was eating silently in front of her. Moonbyul was fidgety at her spot and Irene can't help but think that maybe there is something the girl would like to discuss. Irene knows moonbyul is a talkative type when she knows someone she is comfortable talking to. But now, it feels like she was contemplating if she should open her mouth to talk or just pass it away. So Irene decided to open the conversation.
