That night, Elsa tossed and turned, hating the way things had been left between her and Jack.
But hell if that whole handshake thing hadn't hurt.
What was she?
A guy friend he had just made a deal with? Someone who hadn't just crossed all of Norway with him?
And kissed?
Already the thought of him leaving had sent a mini heart attack through her, so that was just icing on the cake.
He was probably on his way now to wherever, glad he was free of her.
Feeling sick, Elsa got up and got dressed.
She was to go to Arendelle in the morning and update her sister and Kristoff on what was happening.
With the idea of sleep elusive, there was no time like the present to be on her way.

Jack ignored the darkness surrounding him as his steps took him further and further away from one particular blonde.
Already he was lonely and it had only been a few hours.
He realized that with him being with her for so many days consecutively, he had began to be used to her presence.
To expect it... to love it.
This sucked.
He tried to keep memories he had with her at bay as he continued on.
At this rate, he'd never arrive with his sanity intact.

Elsa grinned as she woke up with Ana beside her in bed the next morning.
She had arrived too early in the morning, at the palace, as usual, and automatically went to the guest room they normally gave her.
She barely remembered a thing and must have fallen fitfully asleep, during which Ana had clearly joined her.
Looking over at her sister, she surveyed her.
Hair all messy like always, mouth hanging wide open and limbs laying every which way.
It was a wonder Kristoff still stayed, Elsa chuckled inwardly.
She also noticed that her sisters' stomach was more pronounced, clearly showing.
She didn't know how far along Ana was, it had been nearly 3 months since the party, but Elsa knew that the couple had found out later than usual on top of that.
Elsa nudged Ana, who began to wake.
"Hey sleepyhead".
Ana yawned and stretched, eyes still closed,
"I heard you come in late last night."
Elsa laughed,
"And you thought you would join me? You never could resist when we were little."
Ana smiled widely now, awake,
"Your not wrong, let's clean up then you can tell us all about you and Jack."
Elsa saw Ana smile slyly at this but didn't correct her sister.
She was tired of denying anything between her and Jack, especially when everyone else seemed to suspect it.
"Alright. Also I think Kristoff is going to be jealous once he finds out you didn't sleep with him last night."
Ana patted her shoulder,
"Not to worry, the morning sickness still hasn't passed, so I actually think he was relieved to have a break."
Both women laughed as they got up.
An hour later, Kristoff, Ana and Elsa were sitting in the throne room, much as they had a few weeks ago.
"Tell us what happened from the beginning", Ana begged, and Elsa did just that.
She left out the more intimate details and issues between her and Jack however, there was no use in adding more fuel to the dying fire.
Kristoff rubbed his chin as she finished.
"Incredible, the spear was really a sword and was here the whole time."
Elsa nodded,
"Yes even though we kinda knew it was here anyway, just not where."
"Good, I'm glad you don't regret the journey or think it was a waste of time", Kristoff said.
Elsa paused at this,
"Your right, I don't think it was a waste of time, it had to be done."
Ana spoke up,
"So what of Jack?"
"He says he knows a legendary blacksmith who can help dismantle the metal in his hometown. He left last night and guessed he'd be gone for a couple months. I asked to write him for updates and he said I could ask Kristoff for the address."
Kristoff took a drink of water as she finished.
"Odd he wouldn't just tell you, he's headed for Devonshire in England."
Elsa frowned,
"I've never heard of any countries outside of Norway, where is this England?"
Kristoff shrugged,
"You have no reason to know of it or any others, we are just a small kingdom in Norway, I only know of it because of travelling friends like Jack. It sits down south, it is an island nation."
Elsa didn't respond, this sounded far more dangerous than she anticipated.
Kristoff continued,
"I'll write down the address for you, I'm also eager to hear of his response."
Ana backed up her husband.
"Yes, and do stay with us until then Elsa, there's no sense in going back and forth should he write back often. We also don't know the exact date, but know that our little girl (Kristoff coughed just then but Elsa could faintly hear "boy" as he did) will be arriving soon, within a few months, and I want you to be here."
Elsa nodded, delighted that she would be meeting her new niece/nephew soon.
Thankfully she felt no more sadness when thinking about children, she knew her time would come when it was time.
If she took one thing away from her time with Jack, it was that it was useless to worry about things out of her control.
She got up to move around the table they sat at, and hugged her sister and Kristoff.
