Chapter 11 - Wolf and poison

"Are you sure you're fit to film?" Logan nagged as we walked onto set, flashing our security passes to the guard. My mind flashed back to Anna wrestling with him and I hid a smile.

"It's been a week Mr overprotective-brother-who's-not-actually-my-brother." I sighed. "You know, you might as well be my dad and Anna be my mum. But then it'd be awkward for Tyler."

"I'm just making sure." He huffed as we passed the food tent.

"Yeah. Yeah." I teased. He'd become extremely overprotective after the incident.

I snatched it away, even though his touch comforted me. "Regretting it isn't enough."

"I know."

"Then stay out of my life."

I felt as bare and heavy as the first day I realised that he'd cheated on me. It'd been a week and after those harsh words that I'd semi-regretted saying, I hadn't seen him since. Sure I felt bad, but I didn't want anything to do with him. At least, that's what my head insisted; his visit only deepened the desire my heart had forged.

"Hey Lindy." Logan waved to his manager, snapping me out of the past. Reality flooded in again in a heartbeat.

I wasn't going to see him again. I missed him and the frequent checks of my phone had become a habit. But I knew that he was never gonna text me. I couldn't stop myself from whispering his name every time the clock spat out 11:11; it'd become a part of my routine to say it after years of wishing by the magical time that him and I would be able to date. Well it worked, but the result was not what I'd wanted. And now I'd think of him every time I said it. It was painful, really painful but I didn't want to stop. 10 years of friendship and 3 months of dating doesn't disappear in a month and 8 days.

"Georgie. Georgie. Georgie." Logan called out and I blinked at him in surprise.

"Huh? What?" I answered, subconsciously twiddling my fingers, thoughts still swimming.

"You just stopped walking in the middle of nowhere." He pointed out.

"Oh. Sorry." I mumbled sheepishly.

"C'mon. We needa meet the director." He whined, trying to pull me with him.

"You go ahead. I'll be there in a minute." I replied.

"Hurry up, okay?" Logan stated. "Or I'll come and carry you myself."

"Yeah." I whispered and he ambled away from me, swerving past someone behind him. Immediately, my muscles tensed up and I froze. I was eye to eye with my worst nightmare.

"Hi." She greeted. Her familiarity killed me. I didn't want to see her.

"What do you want?" I answered coldly.

The corner of her mouth edged up slightly into a half smirk. "Look. You have to let me explain." She took a step closer to me, her face distorting into a solemn face. I backed away, her perfume and stench overwhelming me. Stench of a wolf. Boyfriend stealing wolf.

"Why should I?" I almost snarled.

"Please. Georgie." She stared at me, desperation in her green eyes. At least, that's what she wanted me to see. I could sense the mockery behind her fakery. Two faced boyfriend stealing wolf.

"No." I glared and stormed around her. But each step felt heavier and heavier.

"I didn't know that Skandar had a girlfriend." She called out. I stopped dead in my tracks. "I know you're still scarred from this. Otherwise you wouldn't have recognised me. It still haunts you, doesn't it? I mean, you've only seen me for a second and you could still remember me."
