It's in my eyes
The caramel irises that search
For you
In every room.
It's in my blood
That rushes and storms and floods
When you come near. .
When I feel your breath tickle my ear
It's in my flesh
Showing in the rosy skin you caress
The blood rising to meet
The intense heat. . . of your gaze.
It's in the air.
The birds' singing,
Echoing in the late spring breeze
All our quiet nights, spent only in tears and wondrous peace
It's in my heart, that trembles and sets aflame
When your lips curl into a vixen's smirk.
The heart that shakes and quakes and wakes,
In anticipation of your brazen seduction
It's in my soul
That sings—
"I'm finally whole!"
For you are in my embrace.
It's in the stars,
The very sun that haloes you
Setting you apart,
For all to admire. Only for me to touch.
Break me, love
Tear me apart
Don't think it'll ever stop me
From giving you my heart. . .
Certain,
Margo
