Ch. 5 ~Another Blood Bender?~

Korra's Pov

Argggh why!? I think to myself as I lay on my bed on Air Temple island Why is Tarrlok like this! I grumble while thinking it as I slowly pan my head to look out my frosted window I lean over off my bed to open it. Feeling a whoosh of air come from outside causing a slight chill.

I then turn to Naga while getting off of the bed. "Wake up, Naga" I whisper to her while crouching next to her. "Let's go" I tell her as she slowly wakes up.

She slowly stands still half asleep. "Going somewhere?" I hear from behind me as I give a small shriek incase its Tenzin, but its not I turn to my door yet I see no one. I then turn fully around to look at my open window to see Y/n leaning through it. I see his ragged clothes and the snow outside.

"Aren't you cold?" I accidentally blurt out to him. His face doesn't change as he merely shrugs his shoulders. "Used to it" he says in his smooth voice. "Anyway I'll be off." I tell him turning away. I hear him sigh as I hear what seems to be him climbing through my window.

"Going where?" He asks me simply. "Taking Naga for a walk" I say whilst putting on Nagas saddle. "Lie" he says simply almost bored. "How do you know?" I ask him confused as I turn to see his face in the dark.

"You may not know it, but sometimes if I concentrate on someone I can feel their pulse and heart beat and all that. Helps to tell when someone's lying" I accidentally blush slightly as it means he concentrated on me although he cant see it in the dark.

"Why didn't you use it before?" I ask him wondering why he didn't do that with Tenzin "simple I was agitated its hard to focus when I'm like that, so where you going?" He explains to me while also questioning me again.

"None of your business, you don't even want to be here so why do you care?" I tell him offensively. "Going to beat up Tarrlok I guess" He says not answering my other question. "Maybe" I say simply walking over to my rooms doors and sliding both of them open big enough for Naga.

As Naga comes over to the doors walking through it I motion for Y/n to leave he shakes his head. "I'm coming." He tells me he doesn't ask me he tells me. "No your not" I tell him slightly angry. "Look at it this way Korra, you've lost your friends no one else is willing to go with and two people talking to Tarrlok is better then one" he gives his reasoning as he clambers onto Naga who looks up at him then to me.

"Fine" I say whilst sighing as I climb up onto Naga as well. "But I'm driving" I tell him. "Good, because I don't now how to ride a polar bear dog." He says I would smile at his cluelessness yet now's not the time.

Later At City Hall

Y/n's Pov

As we arrive close to Republic City's City Hall which I would imagine is where we are.

I see as Korra slips down off of Naga from the side of her pristine white fur. I follow sliding down behind her.

"Wait for us here, girl" Korra tells Naga, Naga moves her head to look at Korra with concern, but Korra gently rubs her head against hers. "Don't worry, We'll be all right." She says as she stops slowly turning around to look at City Hall.

Before slowly starting to walk towards it, I follow behind her with my hands in my pockets.

Once we got close enough to it I asked her. "You think they'll let us in?" I say as I peek around her shoulder to look at the big double doors of city hall.

"If they will, Tarrlok won't" Korra says simply, before panning to look upwards.

She then turns around. And gently grabs my hand, "what are you doing?" I ask her as I'm about to take my hand back.
