I turned my eyes back, looking at Air Temple Island. My hands were being drenched in the crystal clear water, it stung gently using my bending to slide along thin frosted red sheets of ice.

I couldn't see anyone on the side of the island I was looking at, 'it's possible their using another side, to leave and come after me.' I thought in my head, turning back around to look forward.

Spotting the grand site of Republic City, buildings that towered up reaching for the sky, it truly seemed to be a metal village. My eyes then drifted from the tops to the bottoms, sliding closer and closer to it.

The area infront of me, where the docks, however instead of rickety bridges of wooden planks and poles with wooden boots coming in and leaving, fisherman wondering about holding their goods.

The dock seemed almost entirely stone large slabs of it, forming the edges. With large rusty metal buildings ontop of these slabed docks. Larger ships then simple fishing boats were stationary in the water on the docks.

People were still very much going about their business, holding crates and boxes setting up for the ships, loading and unloading.

It was within one of these docks I was aiming for, I caught the looks of some of the dock workers with me coming and closer, with my trail of ice.

While some looked at me weirdly others weren't bothered and simply went about their business, when finally I had entered one of the docking areas, I pulled my hands out of the water, beginning to stand up while still sliding and slashing my hands forward.

Forming a makeshift ice ramp, which slid me all the way to the top of the docks, taking a step off the ice onto the stone. My eyes still peering up to admire the closer site of the large towers.

When out of the corner of my ear I caught a voice, "Hey! Bender clean that up!" I instinctively turned to the sound. Seeing a large man approach me, he was wide and built his large belly covered by brown overalls. On his head he wore a blue knit cap. His face was covered with scraggly white hairs.

"Pardon me sir?" I asked him gently, curious as to what he wanted. "You deaf? I said clean up that mess you made in the docks! We have ships coming in almost every hour! You can't be blocking them like this!" He angrily shouted at me getting closer, he seemed to be trying to be intimidating.

His build certainly was, even with me being the same height if not taller then him. He pointed to what he meant, so I turned from his screwed up rage induced face to where he was pointing, he seemed to have annoyed at the trail of ice which led from the island into the dock area.

He didn't seemed bothered by the colour simply that it was in the way, "oh, my mistake sir let me fix that." I said to him, it didn't seem to cool his rage.

Even as I bend down to the edge of the ice ramp, leaning over it I put my hands forward, the water rippled out from below as I did so. Putting them back then slicing them forward, shouting waves of water from either side to consume the red ice.

Drowning it, by the time the water settled the ice was gone. Leaving nothing but a tinge of red in the water. "Bloody benders, always causing issues." He said muffled his rage cooling slightly, he put his finger away and turned around to get back to work.

My eyes narrowed at his statement, he seemed to catch me looking at the back of him. "Unless you want to work, get the hell off my docks!" He shouted, waving his hand from behind him, he headed off towards some workers. Seemingly to let his rage out on them, 'so benders seem to be a problem, at least with him. Best to keep my bending hidden for now.'

I looked around the dock, catching eyes from workers. 'While working here would be good to keep myself fed, I'd get caught soon.' Without further thought, I walked from the docks to further into the city.
