Ch. 3 ~Y/Ns Confinement and Escape~

"On behalf of the Avatar Korra, she would request that while your here that you join team Avatar" Tenzin finishes saying.

I stop walking to look at this Avatar Korra. She smiles very uneasily, well to me it is uneasy.

"I'd rather not." I say to Tenzin trying not to talk to the avatar. She looks pouty at that.

"She insisted." He says in the exact same tone as me. We both look at the avatar our faces the same.

"Hey! I just thought it would be a good idea for Y/n to get to know people." She says trying to convince both of us.

I just grumble slightly to myself before turning away towards the large forest behind the air temple.

At this time I'd rather still be alone. And its normally peaceful in a forest I hope this one will be no different.

"Hey, Y/n where you going?" The Avatar asks, I grumble. "Forest" I say in a quick reply while walking further and further away from them.

Korra's Pov

I watch as Y/n walks further away and closer into the snowing white forest. I sigh "should we follow him?" I ask my air bending teacher Tenzin. "Best to leave him alone right now. You should check on Asami Mako" Tenzin says. "Yep I'm going" Mako says in reply as Bolin doesn't know what he should do. "Um.. what do I do" Bolin asks us.

I look at Tenzin who looks at me. "Uh.... I need to teach Korra a super cool air bending technique, come along Korra" Tenzin says very quickly as he walks off. "Ah yeah. Gotta go do that" I say to Bolin looking at him he flops his head down before turning to the forest where Y/n went. I turn quickly.

"Lets go help Pema." Tenzin tells me in a hushed tone I nod. At that as we walk towards the air temple.

Y/n's Pov

As I walk and cut through this small forest my mind goes to wandering and pandering the main one being can I trust these people. That air bender he seems truthful, but what if he's just lying about knowing my parents to get me to lower my guard.

I was so stupid to feel moved and touched by the small speech. Because if he's lying I broke my rule about trusting someone at face value.

As I slash through a bush in my way leading me to see a small rocky perch outlooking the ocean. I walk towards it then onto of it before lowering myself to sit on it. Then the Avatar she seems trusting, but what if its a front my mind flashes to her smile, before making it appear like she's the devil smiling.

Damit! I shout in my mind as I slam my fist onto the grey ground. It hurts only a little. I shouldn't be here on this island I should leave.

In my moment of thinking I hear leaves rustling from behind me. "Oh, hey Y/n" I say nothing as he fumbles through the bushes. "So do you want to hear why I'm here?" He asks me softly getting closer sitting next to me.

"No" I tell him simply. "Well I'm telling you anyway, So you see it started with Mako leaving to check on Asami the girl you hurt. So I was left wondering what to do so I asked Tenzin he said he needed to teach Korra this cool air bending technique. So I followed you into this forest" He says very fast and quick.

I say nothing to him. So we're left in silence. "I noticed you were quick to anger, why?" He asks me trying to start a conversation. I'll humor him "Ever been alone, and without parents?" I ask him simply eyes closed. "Alone, no. Without parents, yes" He tells me.

"If you can, please tell me the story" I ask him. "Ok, so it started off when we were younger, our parents where murdered so it was just me and Mako he looked after us." He says in a darker tone then he normally does it seems now were both at least close to the same page.

"Well my story is similar, so I'll use yours as an example. Imagine that, but your without Mako and the murderer is chasing you and you have to go around the whole world facing starvation, murder and dehydration, with a side of constantly being kidnapped." I tell him simply he seems to be a good listener.

"Sorry, that must've been rough. So you've been paranoid most of your life without being able to trust most people making you quick to anger when you are chased, huh?" He hit the nail on the coffin exactly.

"Correct" I tell him. We sit in silence for awhile just listening to the waves crashing against the rocks.

"I haven't introduced myself, I'm Bolin" Bolin turns to say to me. I open my eyes to see him smiling having his hand open towards me. I look at his hand before gently taking it and shaking his hand. "Y/n, Y/n L/n" I tell him as we let go.

"Hey, would you like me to show you to your room?" Bolin asks me as I look up to see the sun slowly going down passing the horizon. "I would like that." I tell him he smiles while getting up. "Great" he tells me. I get up as well and follow him back to the air temple.
