Half hour later, we left the pub, and it was time for me to head to Hogwarts too. I wanted to beat the students to the school, so I could make sure the portraits looked perfect.
"Wanna come with Georgie? You haven't been there since..." I stopped.
"I'll come visit your office once you're settled in the spring!" He smiled.
I kissed him as we apparated to the shop. He walked in to do some paperwork (as usual), and after a long hug.. I apparated to Hogwarts.
I landed in the great hall, and saw Hagrid standing in the middle of the room. He then walked toward the back of the hall, and started to hang frames up. He was hanging my portraits!
"Hagrid!" I said as I entered the Great Hall.
"Oh, Mary! Wonderful ta see ya! I'm just hangin' yer portraits. They look great! already talked ta them too!""Oh, that's wonderful Hagrid! Thank you!" I smiled at him and watched him for a few moments. Hanging each portrait then each name plate.
They lined the back wall, above the long table where the professors sat during first day feast and speech. They looked so regal. Gold frames, engraved with ravens, badgers, lions, and snakes.. all lining up with each of their respective houses. There was also a name plate under each picture, and a small biography of the person as well.
I smiled at Hagrid when he finished, and started to tear up at how perfect they looked. I was so thankful to McGonegall for being supportive of this idea.
