In Between Story #3 - Catching the Stars

(Context - No episode, Purgatory Mansion, Blue iPad's POV)

WARNING: Fight scene ahead

"I need your help, but you have to leave the mansion"

Woah woah woah. Leave? "I don't think I can just leave the Mansion, Kindle." I spoke lightly. Kindle' ears flopped back. "Well, have you even tried?" She said, in a challenging tone of voice. I twitched slightly. "Well... n-no" I stuttered. Kindle lifted a brow and smirked. "Okay fine, I'll try" I barked and then hopped over to the door. Kindle stepped past me and walked out the door. She paused on the steps. She reached out to me and then spoke, "Come on, take my paw". Slowly, I grabbed her paw and slowly took a step outside. Then another... Then another. I-It worked? I was outside! Kindle continued to lead me down the steps until I was on the grass. So this is what sunlight feels like. I haven't felt it's warmth for so long. Kindle smiled, "Now quick! This way."

Kindle dragged me across the large fields of grass. It felt so strange to feel the blades of grass on my paws again, being so used to a hard, dirty floor. The breeze felt so nice as we ran. "I think we're entering the show's borders right now!" Kindle told me. The trees started to get closer together and more of them started to show up. I looked ahead of us to see... Mepad? Kindle suddenly skidded to a halt and I crashed right into her, making us both fall. "Are you two alright?" Mepad spoke, and I quickly pushed myself off of Kindle. She quickly stood up and so did I. "Yeah we're okay. Uhh anyway, hi? Have you seen Ocean and Mephone anywhere, we have to talk to them." Kindle asked, and Mepad nodded, leading us towards OJ's hotel.

Looking at the Hotel, something seemed a bit off. Like, the color didn't look right. "Wait wait wait... Why does that side of the hotel look... red?" I questioned. Mepad and Kindle both stopped to look at it and I almost stepped on Kindle's tail. "Yeah, it does look weird. Isn't it supposed to be orange...l you know, like OJ" I questioned. Kindle nodded, then there was a loud scream. Paper suddenly shot out of a 5th story window. "Paper!" Kindle screamed and ran to catch him, only for Paper to catch the breeze and get smacked up against the hotel. "Ow...." Paper whimpered as he slipped off the side of the hotel and gently floated down into Kindle's arms. "Paper, are you alright?" Kindle asked worriedly, but Paper didn't respond, only wrapping his arms around Kindle and clinging to her like a scared cat.

"WHERE ARE THEY, OJ?" A deep, demonic voice shouted from inside the hotel. I flinched. N-no. There's no way... "I don't know, you Ninja star looking-" OJ shouted but he was cut off as he was flung out the same window that Paper was thrown out of. "OJ!" Paper shrieked. Suddenly, my body moved on it's own, and I launched myself into the air. I caught OJ... about 17 Feet up in the air. I landed with a thud. I carefully placed OJ down. "Ah... uh OJ, is there anyone else in the Hotel?" I barked worriedly, and thank god, OJ shook his head. "They all left to go watch Fan and Spring's little talent show, me and Paper just stayed to watch the hotel" OJ explained.

Then the window creaked. "Well well well, if it isn't you, Blue? Never thought I'd see your face again" the deep voice spoke. I slowly looked up... "4-Prong Star" I growled lowly. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE, AND HOW DID YOU GET FREE" I snapped. 4-Prong just laughed. "Did you really think that Star could hold me forever?" He chuckled. Then he launched out the window and landed right in front of me. I pulled back slightly. "Oh I see, your little girlfriend helped you out, didn't she?" 4-Prong glances at Kindle with a grin on his face. I bared my teeth. "And why would you care about that?" I growled and he just smirked. 4-Prong then raised his hand and dark red spikes fly at Kindle, stabbing her!

Narrator POV

"NO!" Blue screams, punching 4-Prong as hard as he can in the face. He hurls himself at 4-Prong, and the two of them engage in a brutal fight. As the others watch, they begin to cheer on Blue iPad's name. Mepad is trying to patch up Kindle and stop the bleeding. Kindle watches the fight with dull eyes. Hearing the others cheer Blue on gives him a burst of strength and he charges at 4-Prong Star, however he fights back, knocking Blue to the ground. 4-Prong then pins down the ghost electionic, preparing to strike a blow that will kill Blue iPad and make him fade away for good. However, before he can do so, Blue kicks him in the face. 4-Prong stumbles backwards, so Blue takes this as his chance, slashing 4-Prong's face. Blood spills into his eyes and 4-Prong misses a clumsy blow against Blue, and so he shoves 4-Prong Star over using his brute strength and his size, knocking the smaller object to the ground.
