"I want you home on time. No pit-stops after school unless it's club related AND on campus." My mother said from the kitchen whilst packing my usual daily lunch for me. "I hate to cripple you like this, but it's the only way I can be sure of your safety from now on until things die down in town. You understand?"

I hummed in accordance to her words all the while slipping on my shoes and proceeding to tie the laces. It really was a bother. Ever since my disappearance rumors were actively spreading all around town, stemming from the scene at the school and scattering out in ridiculous tales that weren't even worth bringing to the police.

These events made it difficult to leave the house without one or two townsfolk spotting me in particular and recognizing me from not only the papers due to Leon's previous searching, but also from my name being constantly passed around from person to person like a game of hot potato.

To put it short, I guess I'm kinda famous at the moment.

My mother stepped out of the kitchen with two handheld containers carrying my food stacked atop one another, a checkered cloth of the colors blush pink and baby blue bordering one another endlessly neatly tied and enclosed over the small containers. "How are your stitches?" She questioned, setting my lunch next to myself on the hardwood floor.

"...They're a little uncomfortable here and there, and it itches sometimes—But they haven't loosened, so it's fine." I answered as I stood to my feet, grabbing my backpack and slinging it over my shoulders with ease. I gave my mother a meek smile, "I think I should get going now; Leon's waiting."

With a smile she nodded and proceeded to wrap me in a short hug, planting a small kiss on my forehead before letting me go. "Remember, be home on time."

"Yeah, I will." I stated with soft irritation, bending down to grab my cloth wrapped meal when a foreign feeling of reluctance halted my muscles from committing the action. My once calm glance filled with some alert, gaze stilling onto the patches of pink decorated amongst the aged cloth.

The muscles in my hand spazzed and my fingers twitched, following with a muffled ringing which sung bitterly through my ears. The feeling forced me to wince and jerk away from the food my mother had prepared for me, receiving a look mixed of confusion and worry from my mother.

"(Y/N)! ...Is something wrong?" She managed as she placed a kind hand on my shoulder. It took no time at all for the terrible feeling to come to a halt which quickly brought me back to the present, back into my body.

I briefly glanced at my mother for a moment, then back at the cloth bag on the floor. "...Y-Yeah, I'm alright." I mustered out quietly. With no hesitation I bent down once again and successfully picked up my lunch.

"I just felt a little soreness is all. Bye, mom." I stated before turning the doorknob with a shake in my grasp and opening the door, shutting the door behind me as I left for school with Leon.

The school day was similar to any other day on campus. It was as if I hadn't been gone. Me and Leon walked with each other like we did every other day, him talking my ear off about the fact he was aloud to basically mother me around campus all throughout the hours with the principal's permission. The only thing that had changed was the class me and Leon shared upon the beginning of our day. Being that said classroom was currently getting investigated for the incident, our first period would be hosted in the library.
