The room fell in a crucial silence, the temperature seeming to drop as shivers ran up my spine. It was a sensation I've felt once before, but something about this particular feeling felt different. Hesitating, I lifted my gaze to my blue haired friend, a look of minor determination in my eyes.
Leon's upper portion of his face would be shielded by strands of his hair, his lips pursed in a tight thin line. "You're serious?" He finally spoke out through an exhale.I nodded, sitting up and turning my back to the male, swallowing the lump of anxiety in my throat. "...I don't really expect you to understand my intentions, just know that they're pure. I just... I just feel that there's just a lot more to this than bloodshed. Can you just trust me? Just one more time, please." I pleaded in a whispering voice.
Silence
As sincere as I was, I just couldn't force myself to look him in the face—Something was stopping me.
Fear? But why would I be afraid of Leon?
I shook my head, lightly slapping either side of my face to rid of my emotional blockage.
Finally, I spun around, averting a still gaze to Leon.He sat criss-crossed not too far in front of me, his hands tightly gripping his ankles.
"Leon?" I'd call out expectantly.
His lips parted for a moment, an unmakeable whisper following. My expression would contort into that of confusion and concern. "Leon." I said, my voice more stern. Suddenly the male's attention strictly stuck to me, forcing me to flinch. Leon's glance held an angered tension, tears beginning to well in his eyelids. At that moment I could've sworn the lights in the room began to flicker.
before I knew it I was knocked onto my back by the force of Leon's figure, the male instantly straddling my waist with force, as well as applying a strong hold on the collar of my shirt, my eyes widening out of sheer surprise. "Why?!" He finally screamed just inches from my face, his lips quivering violently as he spoke. "Why do you care about him so damn much?! Does he have something I don't have?!"
He yelled once more, his voice cracking mid-sentence.Though I only stared, speechless at the sudden shift in personalities.
Leon's breaths hitched at my silence, the current emotions only seeming to boil up more by the second. Finally, his hands would let loose of my shirt, his hands shifting to his own. With ease, he pulled and tugged at his shirt, ridding away of the many buttons that kept his bare chest and smooth stomach from showing.
"Is it his body you want (Y/N)...? Why can't you just settle for mine?!" He cried out once more, the tears beginning to finally flow down his well rounded cheeks. My face flushed a bright red at the scene that was currently unfolding in front of me, my eyes darting from his exposed skin and back to his face. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing would come out; I was speechless. "I... Leon—"
"Answer me! ... P..Please..." His voice crumbled into sad whimpers as well as his eyes closing in response to the constant tears escaping his drained eyes.My expression softened at the sight. At that moment it had felt like something had died inside me; I couldn't stand to see Leon cry, but one thing I couldn't stand even more was the fact that it was because of me.
I couldn't stop myself from what I had done next.
I kissed him.
I kissed him out of passion, lust, and out of pity. Leon's eyes would widen out of complete shock, responding in his body jerking backwards. Though to no avail I stuck to his lips like a hungered leech, holding him firm by the arms. Finally our mouth's broke apart, Leon using my shoulders as support in order to keep himself from fainting on the spot.
Leon would pant along with myself, our love holds on one another seeming to tighten. "I'm... Sorry." I'd huff out with a small chuckle, earning Leon's gaze once more only for him to look away, embarrassed. "—No... I should be apologizing for losing my cool... I'm no different from Breanhime."
"Don't say something like that." I'd snap with a glare. "The both of you are completely different." Leon only smiled at my words, using his sleeve to wipe away the tears upon his face. "You still don't get it." He'd finally say, exhaling a shaky breath from his lungs and forcing a laugh. "I-I'm obsessed..." He began, slowly lowering his face to the palm of his hand, using the other to shoo away my hold on his arm.
"—I don't know what's wrong with me; At this point you're all I think about... And now when you mention him I can't help but feel... Jealous." The male would shift in his sitting position, letting his legs hang off of the bed."I just don't want this whole situation to come between what we already have and what we can have—But then again, this could just be me overthinking, huh?" Leon would turn to me once again with a facading smile, his azure hues tired, but sincere.
We gazed at one another for what seemed to be too long. With a sigh I'd adjust the worn out collar of my shirt to the best of my ability. "—I think I understand where you're getting at." I'd say quietly and dart my glance to the floor, the color seeming to somewhat be drained from my (E/C) eyes. "...You want me to make a choice, don't you?"
Leon would stare for a moment, hoping that I'd return his gaze. Hopeless, he'd look away, running his pale fingers through his oceanic locks. "It's either me or him, (Y/N)."
And once again the bedroom fell quiet. With a dreaded exhale I'd begin to slip my shoes back on. Around this hour it was already getting dark outside. "I'll let you know in the morning—"
"You should stay here until morning, (Y/N)." He reminded, completely halting me of movement. At first I was hesitant, but then I remembered the last time I didn't take up Leon's offer.
Pausing for a moment I then removed my shoes, forwarding the blue haired male a confused look. "Alright then. Where am I gonna sleep?"Leon sweatdropped at my question, but nonetheless patted the sheets hugging around his mattress. "I think you already know what I'm going to say, meathead."
Frowning at my cluelessness I once again climbed onto the bed, hesitantly but surely getting comfy under the covers and tossing my head onto the softness of one of Leon's pillows. Moments after, Leon would drag himself to the light switch embedded into the wall and flick it downward, the room dimming into darkness, shuffling heard as Leon rolled himself back into bed and slipped himself under the covers as well.
Without a word, the room dead silent, the both of us were sound asleep within minutes.
Nathan's POV
"...But he's all I want... Why is it so difficult to just have him?!" His voice would echo throughout the spaced room along with the sounds of old chains rustling and scraping against the smooth, rocky surface of the floor.
"He was finally with me until...H-He slipped through my fingers, all because I got too careless. Why can't the future just fall into place?!" The male would holler out once more, tempered whines following after.
"...Because." A woman began, her soft voice traveling throughout the space of the small and bad excuse for a room, chains rustling and clanging once more with each of her movements. The pink haired male would shoot a glance at the woman under the dimmed and barely functioning circle of light in the center of the room, his eyes seeming to gleam eerily in the blanket of darkness around him.
The woman would lift her pink gaze to the troubled male's, a mocking smile curling upon her lips.
"—You acknowledge his feelings too much."
