Later that night I decided to give my mind a brake and give Leon a visit. I felt that I'd be an ass if I didn't at least go to apologize for dragging him into a traumatic experience like that.

Luckily, the town's hospital wasn't too far from where I lived—because I still don't have a car yet—so I was able to walk. Once I entered the automatic doors of the building I approached the front desk. There was a female who looked as if she were in her mid twenties sitting behind the rather tall counter; She was asleep.

"Uhm. Excuse me, lady?"
Suddenly, the woman jolted awake. She sat up in a more manner-full position and slid on her glasses that must've fell off while she was slacking off.
"Ah! H-How can I help you, sir?" She asked in a polite tone, somewhat changing my viewpoint of her from before.

"Yeah, I'm looking for Leon Stephenson's room? He's a friend of mine."

"Leon Stephenson..." She repeated in a quiet voice. She spun around in her office chair and rolled over to the nearest computer to skim through the patient list.
"Ah, here he is! Leon's room is on the third floor. Look for room number C24 once you arrive, okay?"

"Got it. Take care." I waved her off as I headed towards one of the multiple elevators in the lobby.
After I chose the floor number, the elevator doors closed and I was off. Luckily, the elevator didn't get stuck or anything crazy like that, and I was on the third floor before I knew it.
"Alright, room C24, right?"

I looked around for a sign of what part of the building I was in until I caught eye onto a sign reading "C.1-15".

"Ugh... Why do I have to be so far away?"
Nonetheless, I began down the hallway towards Leon's assigned room.

Finally I was standing in front of Leon's door. It was shut, so I was somewhat hesitant to just walk in. He might be asleep or something.

Ah, whatever.

I opened the door anyways and peaked my head into the room. There was a lamp lit in the far corner, sitting on an old wooden table next to pot full of pink and red roses.

"... Nurse?" A familiar voice called out. Sure enough, it was Leon's. As I walked in and I closed the door behind me, stopping at the foot of Leon's bed. When he saw me his eyes lit up similar to a child's after witnessing fireworks for the first time.
"(Y/N)!"
Leon kicked away the covers and bedsheets off of him and hopped out of the hospital bed before wrapping me in a tight embrace. With a smile, I returned the hug.
"Glad to see you're okay, Leon. Are the Nurses treating you well?"

Leon slightly pulled away and looked me straight in the face with a serious expression.
"It's not me you should be worrying about, I was worried sick about you! I could barely even sleep!"

"Worried? About me?" I repeated, confused.
"Why? I called your mother before I came, didn't she tell you I called?"

"She couldn't. When she came over to see me the authorities were here. They were questioning me, like asking what I remembered and stuff..." Leon's gaze lowered to the floor as he attempted to gather his thoughts. I put a hand on his shoulder and shook my head, "We can talk about it later... Really I just came here to apologize."

Leon head lifted once again at my statement.
"Apologize?"

"Yeah. I shouldn't have put you in a situation like that. Honestly, it was scary; I thought I had lost you.

There was a moment of silence. The both of us were at a loss for words once realizing what all we really witnessed over the past week.
Leon sat back down in his bed and exhaled an exhausted sigh. Even though it was barely noticeable, he had a slight blush plastering at his cheeks.
"Although I am glad you came by to check on me, you owe me big time." Leon avoided eye contact, but I didn't take it personal.
