Siren and Shardseeker pushed forward through the uncomfortable heat. Siren wasn't enjoying walking through the endless stretch of sand. Siren had turned her scales a pale yellow, to look like a Sandwing.

Half an hour later, they saw the scorpion den. Siren was glad that there was finally somewhere to go instead of flying aimlessly. Siren saw someone sneaking around the scorpion den. Siren camouflaged herself and snuck close to the sneaky Sandwing. When Siren was close enough, she gasped quietly. It was Sandstorm.

Siren saw Sandstorm's eyes glow. Siren thought that it was the sun's glare that made Sandstorm's eyes glow. Sandstorm stopped looking at a dragon, and looked in front of her.

Sandstorm saw ripples in the air. Sandstorm slashed her poisonous barb at Siren. Green waves of fear shot through her scales, making her slightly visible. Siren barely dodged the poisonous barb. Sandstorm slashed her poisonous barb at Siren yet again. Siren almost dodged it, but it hit her on her right wing. Siren flew off quickly before her wing gave out.

Sandstorm looked at Siren, not knowing she WAS Siren. Siren camouflaged herself and landed near where Shardseeker was hiding. Shardseeker picked her up and snuck off to hide behind another sand dune. Sandstorm appeared by the dune where Shardseeker was originally hiding, and slashed her tail against the sand, hoping to find the witness, Siren. Sandstorm gave up, and flew back to the Scorpion den. That was close.. Siren thought.

"We need to get some cactus juice." Shardseeker said as he looked for a cactus. He found one, took a piece off, and gave the juice to Siren.

After Siren was recovered so she could fly, they flew to the scorpion den to look for Sandstorm. They knew it could be her that's starting this war.
