The next day, Wednesday, wasn’t much different to the day before, except I didn’t have a dumb moment with the hair gel, thankfully. Proof that people can learn from their mistakes.

It’s lunch, which is why I’m sitting in the cafeteria staring at an orange-haired junior stuffing hot chips up his nose. His friends are all either throwing their heads back laughing, or shaking their heads in disapproval, while trying to hide their amusement.

They all look like they are having fun.

I sigh and remove my gaze from them, and decide to look around the cafeteria for a bit. I’ve finished eating anyways, and it’s not like I’ve got my own friends to talk to. Everyone’s just sitting at their tables talking and laughing with their friends, like they don’t have a care in the world. I close my eyes and just listen to my surroundings. Everyone’s chatter fills my ears, all the ranges of voices mixing together creating a soft harmony, as I slowly start to zone out. It’s becoming quite a problem really, I just can’t stay focused for very long.

I jolt out of my daze when I feel someone taking a seat next to me, and see Aiden sitting across from me, and his friends just sitting down on either side of me. I quickly shake my head to get my mind back in the game, as Luke begins talking.

“I can’t believe you actually told on us, you little brat.”

Oh no. “I-I didn’t! I swear, I don’t kn-ow how Mr Dunston f-found out!” I manage to pathetically stutter out, but they don’t seem to buy it, unfortunately.

Aiden lets out a dry chuckle causing Louis and Luke to join in. I looked to my right, surprised that I hadn’t noticed Louis there before. He seems a bit off, kind of like he’d rather be elsewhere, like me.

“Hel-lo? Are you listening, freak?”

Woops! I must’ve zoned out staring at Louis, what is wrong with me? I better snap out of it real quick.

I turned my attention back to Aiden, who was not-so-surprisingly glaring at me with his arms crossed over the table.

“Umm.. what was that, sorry?” I mumble, playing with my fingers.

“Yeah, you’ll be sorry in a minute. Lads, why don’t we teach little Marcey here a lesson about common etiquette?” Aiden announces, standing from the table, gesturing for the other guys to do the same, which they comply to.

Oh no, they can’t do this again! Not today! I have modelling to do this afternoon with Aiden and Louis! …they can not find out it’s me!

I quickly jump up from the table, and look around at the guys surrounding me, I’m slightly taller than all of them, but Aiden and Ashton are probably most likely to be able get me to the ground easiest if I do decide to take my chances and bolt. I start to panic, as I turn my head rapidly looking for a gap or a weak link in their circle.

“Whatcha lookin’ for, Marce? You seem lost.” Luke says, raising his eyebrows, smirk imprinted on his face.

I look around one last time before I find my opportunity to escape. Louis. He’s not paying attention so I decide to just go for it. I dash past him and run as fast as I can towards the halls, looking for the closest exit. I hear Aiden screaming from a bit behind me, as I weave through the crowd of students, apologising to each one I bump into. I made it as far as the door, and needless to say my great escape didn’t go too well, as a heavy weight tackled me to the ground.

“Harry.” Jennifer, the make up artist, drags out in a warning tone, glaring at me and putting her hands on her hips in the process.
