The Promise

The sun slowly peeked out over the hills. Showing that the next day was coming.

I yawn and stretch my arms. From the corner of my eye, I see Mac and Teddy crossing streams in a fountain. I smirk. They're such kids.

"Brooke's bragging that she's still dating Teddy." Whitney sits next to me on the couch that Teddy and Mac were talking about Batman.

I laugh. "The denial phase I guess."

"Well Kelly asked how Brooke and Teddy met, said 'I saw him, he saw me.' I just nodded along, cuz that's what I think how couples first met."

"Well if she asked me. I would say, 'I met him, when he first joined Delta Psi. And we got to know each other better'. That's my answer." I swing my legs up and criss cross my legs.

Whitney smiles at my response. "I like that better. Also," She wraps her arm on my shoulder. "I think you and Teddy are a better match than Brooke."

I blush. "How did you even know?"

She rolls her eyes. "Lots of peeps saw you guys kissing in your hammock."

I playfully punch her shoulder.

"What are you guys talking about?" Teddy sits on my right on the couch.

I scrunch my nose. "Please tell me you washed your hands..."

He gives me a blank looks. "Does a water bottle count?"

"It's a little better." I shrug and lean in to give him a kiss on his cheek. Moving away, I see his cheek redden.

Whitney laughs and points at Teddy. "That's a first!"

Teddy shakes his head and jumps up. "Let's go see Mac and Kelly off!"

He grabs my hand to lead me up to the front of the house where Mac and Kelly were waiting.

"Epic night!" Mac high fives Teddy.

I high five Kelly as she repeats Mac.

"Dude, I owe you man!" Mac smiles as Teddy smiles also. "Thank you so much."

Man was I right about them not partying out much.

"Yeah again, if you can just, you know," Mac looks at Kelly and waves his hands. "Keep it down, that will be fucking chill."

"Yeah." Kelly smiles and gives a thumbs up.

Seriously? No its a thumbs down in this situation.

"You really want us to keep it down?" Teddy's eyebrows furrow at what they said.

"I agree with Teddy." I said and fold my arms looking at them like they're crazy.

Kelly nods and slightly laughs to make the atmosphere lighter. "Yeah, like every night."

"Yeah." Mac agrees with his wife.

"I'll give it the old college try." Teddy smiles. From his tone of voice I can tell that it's not going to be possible to.

Mac and Kelly nod their heads happily. Saying 'cool'.... a lot.

"But first, promise that you call me first. Not the cops, okay?" Teddy said as he played it cool.

"Okay sure!" Mac said.

Teddy points at him. "You promise?"

"I promise!" Mac said as he nods his head.

Teddy then points at Kelly. "You promise?"

Kelly points to herself. "I promise."

"Promise? Well okay, promises are a big deal to me."

I nod. "That is true."

"Okay...we promise." Mac didn't sound so sure about it.

"Okay thanks you guys so much." Teddy reaches his hand out and Mac does to. They shake hands. "Well, hope that we can hang out some more.

"Yeah, dope." Mac said and starts walking with his wife back to their place.

"I'll tell them to," Teddy winks as he puts his left index finger to his lips. "Shhhh."

Kelly gives him a weird look. She drags her husband away and towards their place.

Teddy wraps his left arm around my hips and walks back to the backyard. "Great night!" He yells and pumps his fist in the air.

I laugh and a yawn hits me.

Teddy slowly brushes my hair behind my left ear. "Hey, you want to sleep?"

I shake my head. "Got some class to get ready for."

"Are you serious?" Teddy asked. "When?"

"Well, it's not really a class. It's just a talk that I can go to get extra credit." I move his hand that rested on my hips, and walked towards the front door.

"Whoops," I stopped. "forgot something."

I run back and plant a small peck on Teddy's lips. As I move away, I feel Teddy pulling my shorts up, along with me from his strength. I changed my slacks before the party started getting into the dancing.

I wrap my legs around his thighs. He grabs my butt to make sure I don't fall back.

Putting my hands on his cheeks, I can see his beautiful blue eyes. His eyes stare back at mine.

"Stay with me." Teddy whispers.

I set my forehead against his. "How about I stay till one? I have a ceramics class I got to help teach."

He hums and lifts his head to brush our noses together, getting closer to my lips. "I meant the whole day."

"Well~," I sigh. "Teddy Sanders, you have seven hours till I leave."

I lean really close to his ear. "So what are you planning to do with me?" I whisper in a seductive voice.
