A new duo

Chapter 12

Third PoV:

Peter had been on several missions with different avengers recently but they were low scale ones. No dangerous ones had come up as of yet and all other had to admit, they were itching to get back out there and fight.

Clint retired after all but Loki joined the team after proving he was trustworthy. Clint still came round to the tower to visit but mainly stayed at home with his wife and kids.

The normal team (the one not including Wakanda or the Guardians) consisted of: Stephen, Natasha, Peter, Steve, Bucky, Thor, Loki, Wanda, Rhodey, Scott and Quentin. Although Rhodey didn't go on many missions.

Peter and Loki grew rather close, which surprised the team. Thor was ecstatic that somebody trusted his brother to that level and hugged Peter so tightly, said teen thought he'd die.

Loki was only 20 in human years, only a year senior to Peter. They both enjoyed patrolling together and showing each other sites on earth and new Asgard.

Peters PoV:

Fury called Loki, Wanda, Bucky, Thor and I in for a mission. It was a fairly small mission, taking down a hydra outpost in Canada.

"Ok suit up guys!" I called out to the other three.

They nodded and all of them except Loki, who used his magic, went to their rooms to change.

When we landed in the snow covered base, fury gave each of us our jobs. Thor and Loki were to use their powers to fight the Hydra agents patrolling the land, whilst Wanda kept any further agents from entering, and Bucky and I were to take down the agents inside and look through their experiments to see what they've been doing and to see if they have any hostages.

"Go in you two, I'll keep the rest at bay," Wanda said in her thick accent.

Bucky and I nodded before storming the building, taking down any nearby agents. After clearing several floors, 9 men flooded the room in which I was in.

"Shit, Bucky where are you? There's nine of them with me and I don't think I can take all of them!"

"I'm in pretty much the same predicament Pete, I've got 8 cornering me right now."

"Well we're fucked," I muttered.

"Uh huh," Bucky agreed.

Thor and Loki were still busy with their job and if Wanda left her post then we could become trapped inside if reinforcements came.

I ran at the man closest to my right and flipped him over onto the floor, successfully knocking him out cold. I then flipped over the top of four men and landed on another two. Three were now down, leaving six remaining.

"How many you got left Pete?" Bucky asked breathing deeply with effort.

"S-six!" I breathed.

"I've got four but I'm pretty sure one of them is a super soldier...so that may take a while, any of yours enhanced?"

"Uh yeah, I-I think maybe three of them," I replied after kicking one of them into the wall.

"THREE?! Damn...fuck ok uh I'll try get to you soon alright? Just hang tight."

I didn't bother replying and instead tossed the man into the wall after he got back to his feet.
