A new duo

Chapter 6

Peters PoV:

After talking with Tony, I swung back to my own house - well mansion and went into the lab. Beck and Selena were yet to come back as they didn't know I was awake so I just fixed up my suit and tinkered for a bit.

Eventually I heard MISAI's voice come over the speakers which were blaring 'High Hopes' by Panic at the disco.

(I love this song)

"Boss, it would appear fishbowl and Boss-Beck have returned."

I snickered to myself at the nicknames for Quentin and Selena as I put down my tools and ran upstairs to surprise them.

They were both putting their coats on the hangers as I came round the corner and jumped at them.

"WHERES MY GREETING!" I yelled at the older pair.

"HOLY FUCK PETER DON'T DO THAT! WAIT? PETER?!?? OH MY GOD!! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" Quentin shouted.

He ran over to me and wrapped me tightly in a hug, Selena joined as and welcomed me back too.

"It's lovely to have you back Pete, have you spoken to Stark?" She asked kindly.

"Yeah he was there when I woke up, we had an argument but we've kinda made up again. It's still a bit awkward between us," I admitted sheepishly.

Selena smiled softly at me and kissed the top of my head.

"Quentin and I are here for you ok? I'm sure you and Stark will gradually become friends again," she said.

I nodded and hugged my aunt figure tightly, although still being careful of my super strength. I pulled away from her and turned back to Quentin.

"I'm gonna go back to the lab and work on my suit again."

He rolled his eyes and wandered off to the living room with Selena, both muttering about how I should go to sleep.

"I've been asleep for 4 months! I think that's long enough!" I called out to them as I descended downstairs.

I should probably FaceTime pepper and Morgan...I feel sorta bad leaving before they came back. I'll do it in the morning though as it's already 11pm.

Once I was back in my lab, I went over to the workshop half of the room and started building my newest web shooter; I'd already made more web fluid, which by the way still baffled Tony and Bruce, so I didn't have to make more.

(An: in this Loki and Nat were brought back in the snap because I said so. Also Steve is still in this timeline, again because I said so. The avengers are all still together too.)

Third PoV:

After several hours Peter finished his web shooters and finally passed out at the lab table. But it wasn't a restful sleep, it was a nightmare riddled one.

Peters dream:

I was back under the warehouse, struggling to get sufficient air into my lungs as I was crushed. Toomes' cruel laughter rattling in my head. Blood draining out of me as I cried out for help.

Then it skipped to Titan, Thanos had snapped his fingers and everyone began to turn to dust. Gamora, Quill, Drax, Stephen and then it was my turn.

"Stark? I-I don't feel so good...I don't know what's happening."

"It's alright," mister Stark lied.
