Third PoV:

Days turned into weeks, weeks into months and before Tony knew it, it had been 4 months since Peter had been in a coma. He was out of the ICU after a month and was now in a private ward in the medbay. He still had a ventilator but was in a much more better condition; the doctors still weren't sure if he'd wake up though.

Tony went to his room everyday and sometimes brought Morgan to see her new found half brother. He'd informed pepper and her about his relation to the teen and both had been happy and excited for him. Morgan already adored the boy so she was ecstatic to have him as a proper brother. And Pepper was happy to have another child and even happier that Tony had someone else to be there for him.

On the other hand, the trio were worried for Peter. He should have woken up by now. He'd been in a coma for longer than Tony had. Tony was getting more desperate to see the boy open his eyes by the day; he'd never wanted anything more than to see the teen open his dark brown bambi eyes once more.

Tony's PoV:

I headed down to peters room to see him for my daily visit, the other two decided not to tag along this time and instead went out to the nearby park with Haps.

I sat down in the chair besides the bed just like every other day but today was slightly different. Peters heart rate seemed to be slightly higher than it has been for the last four months. It seemed to finally be beating at a normal rate.

"Morning underoos, I do wish you'd hurry up and wake up. Stop scaring the shit out of us all and open your eyes kid, it's time to wake up." I murmured quietly to him.

Nothing.

I sighed and dragged a hand through my hair and took his hand into my other one.

"It's just you and I today. Morgan and Pep went to the park with Happy. You know kid, you've even got him worried...and the other avengers! Yeah...they know now. They were pretty happy. Your friend Beck dropped by earlier if you didn't know...he seemed really worried about you too. Jesus Pete even I am! There you go I admitted it, I'm worried, can you please just wake up now?" I said to the unconscious teen.

As expected, nothing happened so I let go of his hand and got up to go.

"See ya tomorrow underoos."

Just as I turned to leave, if heard a pained moan. My head snapped back to the bed behind me and my eyes widened when I saw him move for the fist time in several months.

Peters eyes were slowly blinking open as his face scrunched up in pain. He finally looked up at me, looking completely out of it still but at least awake and attempted to speak. But with the ventilator it was pretty much impossible so all that came out was a strangled gurgle.

"FRIDAY get Doctor Newman down here now!" I commanded my AI.

"Of course boss and welcome back Peter."

Peters still looked incredibly confused which was understandable and he moved his arm up to his face. I ran back over to him when I realised what he was about to do. I gently pulled his hand away from the tube in his mouth and put it back down by his side.

"Nah ah underoos, you gotta keep the ventilator in. It's helping you breathe bud, you can't quite do it on your own yet. Even if you are conscious, you'd be too weak."

He whimpered slightly in what I assumed was distress as I'd been in his place not long ago, albeit not as bad as him. I knew how uncomfortable it was having a breathing tube down your throat. So I ran a hand through his soft hair soothingly.
