Gale couldn't sleep. Her eyes searched the ceiling, the darkness creating formidable imagines in her mind. Turning her head towards the window, she was almost blinded: the moonlight trickled in through the shutters, startling her unexpecting eyes. She was wrapped in Jensen's arms: his powerful frame capturing her in his arms. Her own arms resting above his, she gently caressed his hands with her own, soft and loving ones. His head rested on her shoulder, the feel of him near her reassured her he was okay. The feel of his bare chest against her sent dizzying sensations jolting through her. Even after all this time, he still had the ability to intoxicate her. Smiling, she softly kissed his arms before carefully slipping out between his arms. She sat up, her hand fluttering against her forehead. Her head was pounding with pain; the result of distress for Jensen. He'd come home, and as soon as he'd saw her, he'd put on a faux display of him being fine, when she knew he was actually quite distressed. She could see straight through it: he was thinking about something. Naturally, the result was a headache. She stood up, walking slowly to the bathroom which was all the way downstairs, so she walked as silently as she could. She poured herself some water, and made her way back to the room. She nearly spilled her water at the sight: Jensen was sat up, his hair ruffled sexily. He was staring out the window, the moonlight capturing his eyes causing them to glisten beautifully. The sheets covered him haphazourdasly, his bare chest lit up by the light that poured in. Pushing these sensational pictures out of her head, she padded across the room, smiling gratefully that he was awake. Even when he was next to her, she found herself to miss him. Jensen turned towards her, smiling tenderly, his eyes beckoning her. Setting her glass down, she sat down on the bed, re-adjusting her shirt that she had borrowed from Jensen. Gale's worry increased when she saw his tired eyes. Unable to take more of this silence, she placed a hand on his arm.
"What's wrong?" She murmured, her hand caressing his face, silently commanding him to look at her. His jaw visibly clenched, as he raised his gaze to hers. Placing his own hands over hers, he shut his eyes and nodded so slightly, if she wasn't so intent on staring him, she wouldn't have noticed. Gale's apprehension sky-rocketed, causing her to reposition herself in front of him, now moving closer. With loving and tender hands, she cupped his face.
"Hey, look at me." Her tone was soft, her eyes darting all over his face. Finally, his eyes opened, but still. His breathing was uneven. "I," he started off hesitantly, "I had a dream about my family... Dead.." The pain and grief in his face overwhelmed her. Knowing he just needed her near him, she brought her lips to his in a soft kiss. His lips molded around hers- she felt a twinge relief in his reaction. She slipped into his lap, wrapping her legs around his back. Her arms wound around his neck, deepening the kiss. He accepted her, gripping her waist, groaning slightly. The bond that tied them both together, strengthened each time he was with her. He thanked her silently, for just knowing what he needed. She was his equal in every way, completing him perfectly. Pulling back, he rested his forehead against hers, their hot and mingled breaths racing over each other's. "I love you, Gale," Jensen whispered huskily, his eyes still closed. "I will love you until this world stops turning and the mountains crumble to dust." Gale was blown away: she had thought her love for him was deep, but yet now she was diving into whole new depths of her love for him. Speechless, all she could do was to pull him into a hug, her face burying into his shoulder. "You are my soul, my heart.. My everything." She kissed every inch of him, desperation in every move. She was absolutely undone with his words. He was her partner, nothing less. Unable to comprehend the love in his eyes, she looked away, her own eyes shining with love. He lifted her head with his tanned, masculine hands, a tender smile flowering on his face. "I can't live without you..." Her eyes glistened with love: now that he was right before her, she could confront her feelings head on. A dazzling smile stretched across her face, her hands brushing his boyish hair out of his eyes. She harboured such intense love for him.. How could she put it into words? Jensen understood, and nodded whilst smiling. "You don't need to say it. I can see it all right here." He brushed a thumb over her eyes, tiny fires starting on her skin. Smiling, she simply leaned against him, her hands entwined with his, resting on her legs. They sat there for endless moments: they felt closer than ever.
"Did you have any progress in finding Abel?" Gale murmured suddenly, turning her head.
"Yeah," He let out a long ragged sigh, his eyes tired. "Last time we saw him was a week ago in Detroit." Feeling her tense up in his arms, he simply squeezed her hands briefly. "That's great!" She exclaimed, rounding on Jensen, who had taken to lean against the wall. Seeing his grim expression, her own face stooped. "Isn't it?"
"I just don't want to get my hopes up, babe. These people are clever," He ran his hand through his hair, turning to look outside.
There was nothing but silence after that. Gale unable to take more of the pain due to her headache, leaned over to pick up the water, whilst pulling open the bed-side drawer for painkillers. Jensen turned back around, noticing movement out of the corner of his eyes. He watched on silently, his confusion mounting.
"What's wrong baby?" He whispered, his worried eyes darted all over her face.
"Migraine," She gritted out exasperatedly, her hand plastered on her forehead. She threw the painkillers in her mouth, wincing at the pounding of her head, and then tipped back the water, relishing its silk running down her throat. Groaning, she set the glass down, turning her body to rest against the wall on the bed next to Jensen. There always was a part of them touching: he entwined his fingers with hers at her side. Even when they weren't touching, they're were always at one with each other.
"What caused it?" Jensen muttered, looking at her.
Gale hesistated; how could she tell him that she worried for him constantly causing her these headaches?
"I normally get these," She lied, turning to look at Jensen, smiling in attempt to comfort him. But what happened next, certainly did not support her argument- a trickle of blood running down her nose. Glancing down at the blood practically gushing from her nose, she leapt other feet.
"Oh shit," she muttered, tilting her head backwards. Jensen seeing the situation, alarm bells started to ring as he sprang to his feet too, sprinting: over to her. Putting a hand to the small of her back, he lead her to the bathroom, as she could hardly see where she was going, staring at the ceiling. Before she knew it, Jensen had lifted her up into his arms, carrying her down the stairs. Protesting, she smacked his chest. "I'm capable of walking!" Her head still tilted backwards, he threw her a worried glance, he took her into the bathroom, setting her straight. She reached for tissue, but Jensen stopped her. Leaning over the sink, Jensen tilted her head back straight.
"Keep it straight, so it can come out properly," He whipped up tissues in his hands as blood streamed down her face. "Keeping your head back like that will only send the blood towards your throat." Gale blushing at the stupidity of the situation, kept her face hidden from him, tying up her hair in a messy bun. Nearly gagging at the blood, she turned away, mopping her face, closing her eyes in protest of the situation. Regaining her composure, she rounded on Jensen, who was cleaning up the blood in the sink. Her eyes widening, she swatted at him. "Leave it! I'll do it!" Jensen looked at her like she said something hilarious. "No, Gale. I'm doing it now, so there's no point you doing it." Finishing and drying his hands, he lifted her up in his arms again, this time doing it for the pleasure of her being close to him. She didn't protest either; she was staring up into his eyes, her own brimming with love. Wrapping her arms around his neck, she simply stared at him. Before she knew it, he had stopped halfway, stopped to just look at her. His glimmering green jewels stared down at her devastating oceans, their eyes locking. Soon, his eyes swam the entire length of her body, Gale still confidant under his scrutiny. Seeing the rising desire in his eyes, he carried back to their room, never leaving the confines of each other's eyes. Laying her down on the bed, Gale's heart raced. When he pulled the sheets over her, she felt a twinge of disappointment nag at her. When he set to lay next to her, he kissed her head, Gale leaning on his chest, losing herself in his love. For he was her companion, her shelter, and her home.
