Gale glanced around, seeing filth surround her. Cracked photo frames of her "family" hung hap hazourdesly along the walls. She'd never known her father, and her mother passed away at a young age. She'd never known them but despise this, Gale and her parents were found smiling in most of the them. That was all she could see in the darkness... She had been through a series of dark rooms, trying to find her way of this maze. Suddenly, she was thrust into a different room, full of light, instantly blinding her. She glanced this way and that, studying her surroundings. Finally adjusting to the light, her eyes landed upon a blurry figure. She needn't have known who it was; arms were outstretched and she found herself sprinting towards him to feel his warmth.

As she got closer, she saw his smile instantly warming her heart. Just as she threw herself into his arms, she felt the warmth and comfort encompass her...

Until her eyes fluttered open.

Her eyes flew open to see the dark ceiling above her. She mused about her frightening dream, trying to recall her parent's faces. She was sprawled out on the bed, in what seemed to be Jensen's room. The side lamp was on, enabling her to see a little more of the room. She looked at her surroundings, only seeing a type of faint darkness. However her eyes rested upon a huddled body in a chair across her bed; she turned her head slightly -causing her mild pain- to get a clearer view. It was Jensen. The very sight of him caused her heart to swell with grief. He looked haggard from worry and his appearance had a worried aura about him. He was sleeping, and she found herself listening to his soft breathing. Seeing him in such a state worried her, but she didn't want to wake him. She stealthily tried to change her position on the bed, in attempt to make as little noise as possible, but failed miserably when he suddenly sat up. Her head snapped around to see him glancing at her with tired eyes.

"Gale?" He whispered, as he stood up and walked slowly over to the bed.

"Hm," She turned her head around to look at him, only to see a wash of relief cover his face.

He sat down gently beside her, cupping her face. His thumb caressed her cheek: She drew strength from being near him, knowing that Jensen was with her made her feel infinitely safe.

"I'm so sorry Gale.." His voice was full of raw emotion, causing her to shake her head slightly. She raised a hand, the movement causing her pain, but she didn't care- Her hand fluttered against his cheek; he closed his eyes to the sensation as his jaw visibly clenched under her touch.

"It's not your fault Jensen.." Gale's eyes darted all around his face, in search of a response. Her hand was still there, supporting his cheek. Suddenly her milky ones were engulfed in his tanned ones. Her eyes fell on their entwined ones; a slight blush crept alongside her cheek. Finally, his eyes flew open; they were now twinkling with rage and fury.

I will turn the bastard inside out with crippling rage for what he did to you, Gale.

"What's wrong?"

The gentle voice caught him off guard, causing him to rest her hand down against her stomach. His eyes travelled over her face, studying the big bruise forming on her forehead. It hit his chest with a heavy thud; every fibre of his being was tingling with anger. Trying to hide his rage, he put on a smile and dipped low to leave a kiss on Gale's forehead. She closed her eyes, capturing the moment. Once he lifted himself off her, he gave her one last dazzling smile before he stood up.

"Get some rest, Gale." He walked out of the room, leaving Gale alone. He took a deep sigh, really not wanting to leave her, but this was a pressing issue. His footsteps got heavier the further he walked from her but that was only increased; he saw the dried blood lingering on the walls along with the haunting message imprinted on the walls. He had readied water and a sponge to get rid of the unnecessary memory that haunted the hallway. Rage and anger accompanied him as he sat down near the wall, and with a deep, ragged sigh he picked up the sponge and got to work.
