Dedicated to @eeshasanusi for driving me to upload soon.

Above is how I envision Chriss to be. [Above]'s an actual basketballer called James Wiseman. Look him up.

Anyway Enjoy.

"You know 'Bandit'?"

"Of course."

There was, then, an awkward silence between us.

"What artists do you listen to?" He spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Good artists."

"Like?"

"Like......" I paused to think of my response.

"Like Drake, Juice WRLD, XXX-"

"Cap."

I paused to stare at this humongous boy.

"Excuse me?

"Bruh, I said you were, capping."
He responded emphasising on the word 'capping".

"What's capping?"

"Ok," He readied him by adjusting his chair.

"Basically, capping means that you're telling a lie or what you're saying isn't true. Stuff like that."

"So, you just assumed that I don't listen to those musicians?" I questioned.

"Mm-hmm."

I waited and checked the time. It read 4.03 PM. Great. 12 more minutes.

I looked at the boy in front of me.

"And may I ask the reason for your thinking?"

He just hunched in shoulders in response.

"I don't know. You just looked like the type of guy that listens to K-Pop or something." He said.

"Hm, hm, hm" I chuckle.

Then, that chuckle turn into straight, full-blown laughter.

"What's so funny?"

I lift my index finger at him. I'm not done yet

"Finally." The boy says as I finish laughing.

"Sorry, what were we talking about?"

"K-Pop."

"Oh, yeah"

Silence.

It's about 4.09PM so around 5-6 minutes

This is starting to get really awkward.

"Did anyone tell you that you have an angelic voice?"

I scratch my head in response. These compliments show how, truly, awkward this situation was.

"Well...., I guess, no."

"What do you want to be in future?"

Again, these questions. What does this tower want with information?

"Umm... Well, I always wanted to be a busines-"

"[bleep], screw that!"

Then again, I don't know how to respond to this statement. He's just twisting my head, honestly.

It was just one random statement after another.

The only look on my face at this time is one of confusion.

"Hold on. So you wan-"

"Want me to be a musician? Yes. If that's what you were going to say. Ok, G, look at it this way,"

G?

"You got talent. Like, massive talent. You have a perfect voice and, in my opinion, all you need is a studio and some beats and you'll go big."

"Ok?" The direction of this conversation honestly. From K-Pop to beats.

Cringe.

But I also think to myself that this stranger is talking to me about music, and beats, and K-Pop, but I haven't acquired any information from this guy.

"And what do you want to be?"

"Basketballer." He says, plainly.

"Basketballer?"

"Basketballer. Bruh, you know
I'm a King."

More confusion.

"King???"

"Yes, I am basketball, [redacted]. See, I support Sacramento Kings that's why I said I'm a King. What 'bout you?"

"Umm..., what team is Steph Curry in?"

"Warriors."

"Yeah! That's my team!"

The boy scoffs before he finally says,

"Cliche."

This is starting to get more and more confusing by the minute. Not to say uncomfortable. When will the Parent-Teacher meeting finish?

Normally, they don't take this long, unless it was a serious topic that was discussed.

Also, I start to realize that the boy has been talking, no scratch that, rambling for some time.

"..... That's why they say I play Power Forward. 'Cause I have that 'Anthony Davis' build. Tsk. Imma be a Small Forward, all day [redacted]!" He concludes.

"Hello?" I see a hand wave over face multiple times.

"Mm? Oh, yeah! Anthony Davis."

As if on cue, at the end of my sentence, the Parent-Teacher meeting finally concludes.

"Ok, imma head out now," He says as he gets up.

"What's your name again?"

"Chriss. Chriss Fox. And yours?"

"Zach Monroe."
