Happy New Year!!!!

2020 is officially over. Please make sure to read the chapter posted slightly after this.

This is a very short chapter, but very cute. Hope you enjoy a little Jasper fluff.

Jason POV-
"10!" My palms sweated.

"9!" Leo yelled the loudest out of the group.

"8!"

"7!" Percy and Leo were now having a full on loud contest while Annabeth smacked them atop the head.

"6!" Couples started shuffling close to each other. I stayed in place, too nervous to move.

"5!" Hazel bounced up in down in excitement, she loved New Year's. Frank put an arm over her shoulder.

"Jason are you-" Piper started. She shuffled close to me.

"4!"

"-Okay?" She asked. I nodded. My hand went to my back pocket.

"3!" Will exclaimed, he wriggled in excitement.

"Shut up, Solace!" Nico yelled. Will attempted a glare.

"2!"

I fiddled with the box that seemed to be burning a hole in my pocket. Piper eyes me, curious as to what was wrong.

"1!"

"Happy New Year!" I watched as couples around the room pulled each other into a kiss. Piper leaned in a bit, waiting for me to kiss her. My brain seemed to malfunction from nerves as my body did as I practiced. Before I knew it, I was kneeling in front of her with the ring box popped open in my hands. Her eyes went wide.

"Will you marry me?" I asked before my brain could officially take over again. She gaped, opening and closing her mouth like a goldfish. I was worried I'd ruined things. My mind ran like a cheetah. Was she mad? Was this too soon? Were we not ready yet? Was this not the right place? Should I have done it differently?

My questions were answered when she mumbled, "sure." I was a little confused by the reply. She shook her head clearly frustrated with herself. "I mean yes! Yes of course! Yes! Yes! Yes!"

She laughed and tackled me to the ground, planting a kiss on my lips. I could here cheering in the background, but it slowly melted away as our lips moved in synch. It was definitely a New Year's night to remember.

Happy New Year. Hopefully you'll have one at least nearly as good as mine.

Hope you liked! I know it was short, but I enjoyed writing it. Remember to read the next chapter!
