Beatrice POV-
This is the story of how I met and shipped Percabeth.
I had recently gotten to camp, I was still undetermined. I had a huge crush on this girl, Annabeth Chase. She had beautiful grey eyes, and blonde curly hair. The only problem was, everytime I saw her, she was with this boy, Percy Jackson. He was also cute, I'll admit that, but Annabeth was prettier. Anyways, I wasn't sure if they were dating or just friends, but I knew I needed to make my move soon.
I pulled my hair back and went outside to the training arena where I saw Annabeth, without anyone else around. It was now or never, I thought.
"Hey Annabeth!" I squeaked out.
"Hey! Beatrice, right?" Annabeth responded. Oh my gods, she knew my name!
"Umm... yeah," I responded, "Iwaswonderingifyou'dgoonadatewithme!"
"What was that?" She asked, slashing into another dummy fiercely. She was truly beautiful, even when she was going to kill something.
I took a deep breath, "I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me?"
She looked at me, expression full of guilt. I knew what was coming. "Sorry, Beatrice, I have a boyfriend, and here he comes now, actually."
I turned around to see none other than Percy Jackson. Figures.
He walked by me and kissed Annabeth's lips, "Hey Wisegirl." He said, "Ready to go?"
"Yep, just hold on," She slashed at the last dummy until it was destroyed. I watched her for most of it. But I looked at him. I saw so much love in his eyes as he watched her. Suddenly, I could see the love emmitting from both of them to each other and a little red string, connecting them. I can't really describe it. I sighed. They were perfect for each other.
Annabeth and Percy walked out of the arena. Why couldn't I have a love that strong?
"Sorry Beatrice, see you later!" Annabeth called. Percy gave her a questioning look, then shrugged.
-------------LATER THAT DAY--------------
Piper was helping me train. I really wanted to know how to fight, I didn't understand the kids who didn't. I was just bad with a sword or knife. LIKE REALLY BAD.
"Don't worry, we'll find you something. How about archery?" She reassured. I noded glumly.
She saw my expression, "Hey, don't worry, I'm sure you'll find something. If archery doesn't work, we can try guns, staffs, we have some Egyptian friends who are good with wands. They could maybe help you with that. And if worse comes to worse, I can charmspeak Annabeth's cousin into giving me his talking sword, Jack, who fights for himself."
I stifled a laugh and sighed, "I know, I just don't want to be useless."
"Hey, I understand. The Aphrodite kids are pretty much labelled as useless, I didn't want to be like the rest of them though, you'll figure it out I'm sure. And maybe you'll get claimed too!"
That made me smile. I really wanted my dad to claim me.
---
"Here's the archery range, I'm not real good with a bow but I have friends who are that can help you," Piper said. I nodded.
"Frank!" Piper called. All of the sudden an eagle started flying towards us. It landed in the grass next to Piper. I jumped back in shock, but she didn't seem to care. Suddenly, it turned into a teenge boy. He was about 6'2" and looked Chinese.
