This is how I imagine Paul finding out that Percy's a demigod.

"Hey Percy!" Paul said as Percy walked into the kitchen for breakfast. Paul came over to the apartment pretty often, especially now that him and Sally were engaged.

"Hi Paul," Percy said sleepily, "I need to talk to you."

"What about?" Paul asked.

"Before you marry my mom, she wanted me to tell you the truth about myself."

Paul smiled at Percy and took a sip of coffee. "What's the truth?"

"Well... I'm just gonna get straight to the point"-he took a deep breath- "I'm a demigod."

"What?"

"You know, half god, half human. My dad, Poseidon, who walked into my birthday, is the Poseidon."

Paul looked at him skeptically. "Nice joke Percy. Now tell me the real truth."

"I am telling the truth! I'll prove it to you!" Percy reached in his pocket and pulled out Riptide, in her pen form.

"Percy? How is a pen going to prove it?"

"This is Riptide. When I uncap it, it becomes a sword."

Paul raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued, but also confused. Did Sally know about her son's crazy belief that he was a demigod? Why did he believe it? Did Sally believe it?

Then Percy uncapped the pen and like he said, it became a sword. Paul jumped back in his seat.

"Sally!" He called. Sally came running in quickly.

"Percy! I told you to wait for me to help you explain! Or at least Annabeth to help you!"

"Sorry mom," Percy said, "Paul, I'm not going to hurt you with this thing! Actually, it's impossible for me to, it only works on gods, demigods, and monsters."

Paul relaxed a bit, but was still startled.

"Paul, he's telling the truth about everything," Sally said placing her hands on his shoulders.

"So, your dad's really Poseidon?"

"Yeah, and a few of my friends are demigods too, like Annabeth," Percy unintentionally said her name differently than the rest of the sentence, more lovingly. Sally picked up on that and smirked.

"And Rachel, I'm guessing," Paul asked. Percy shook his head.

"Actually no, she's just a clear-sighted-mortal."

"A what?"

"She can see through the most, that's what keeps everyone else from seeing all the monsters and swords and stuff like that," Percy said, "that's why you haven't been able to see all this for a while now."

"Alright, that makes sense. So what other friends are demigods?"

"Umm... Nico, he's the son of Hades, Thalia's the daughter of Zeus, Annabeth, like I said, she's a daughter of Athena-" Percy stopped himself, "WOW. I'm actually supposed to hate all of my closest friends... anyways, Grover is a satyr, half goat-half human, and Tyson's a cyclops, he's technically my little brother."

Paul just stared at him speechless. "You're kidding, right?"

"If k told you all my stories, would you believe me? Because trust me, they're too crazy to make up."

"Alright, go ahead, Percy."

Percy spent the rest of the morning telling Paul the stories leading up to that moment.

Alright! What did you think? Also, this is the 45th chapter! Yay! Thanks for reading! Here's a small bonus:

On the Argo 2:

Hazel: So Percy, what's your stepdad like?

Percy: oh! Paul? He's awesome! So much better than my last one.

Frank: What happened to the last one?

Percy: He passed.

Piper: oh, I'm sorry.

Jason: same, that must've been hard.

Percy: it's alright, my mom and I are the ones who killed him.

*everyone takes like 10 steps back*

Btw the 50th chapter is probably gonna be something big and fun! What do you guys think of that?
