Skate Away

11 days until Christmas! Yay!

This is a somewhat part 2 of my Fierrochase one shot.

Magnus opened his gift from Alex. It was a box with ice skates in it. He looked up at her confused. How did she know?

"You mentioned once that your mom used to take you ice skating. I'm now taking you," Alex said, seeing his facial expression. He smiled.

"You actually listened to me?"

"I know. I'm upset with myself too." He laughed and shook his head. Then he leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"When can we go?"

"Whenever you want. I don't think the rink will be busy today, considering it's Christmas and everyone's hanging out at home."

They headed to the skating rink. The snow was coming down hard turning their cheeks rosy and making their noses cold. Magnus caught a snowflake on his tongue.

"What are you doing?" Alex asked.

"Catching snowflakes." Magnus looked bashful.

"You're an adorable idiot."

Magnus turned even redder than before. Alex grabbed his hand to hold as they walked down the busy sidewalk in Boston. You'd think on Christmas, there wouldn't be so many people, but boy were you wrong. They turn corners and dodged rude pedestrians like kids dodging vegetables.

When they made it to the rink, they were surprised by the small amount of people on the ice. There were enough people for about five families, an unusual amount in Boston.

Magnus and Alex put on their skates, Alex somehow managed to get one pink and one green one to match the rest of her ensemble. Magnus felt boring with his plain white pair. They skates on the ice, Magnus never realized how much he missed it. It was clearly Alex's first time though. She slid around, unsure of where to go, falling every so often. Magnus offered her a hand up.

"I'm fine Magnus!" She said, pushing his hand away and standing up on her own. She was a bit frustrated that she wasn't better than Magnus at this.

"Alright, alright. I'm just making sure." He grabbed her hand. She considered pulling it away, but it was so warm, just like him. Soon she found herself snuggled into his chest. She didn't know how she got there, but she didn't want to leave that spot. She have Magnus a kiss on the lips.

"I still hate you," She said.

"Okay."

"You're so annoyingly adorable."

Instead of saying anything Magnus kissed her again. It was a wonderful Christmas for the couple.
