surprise party, ron x reader

"happy birthday love." ron whispered in my ear. i slowly opened my eyes to see ron's shirtless body kneeling next to my bed. i propped my head up with my hand and met his beautiful blue eyes and ginger hair. i've always felt things for ron i've never felt for anyone else, of course i'm a very open and enthusiastic person but one thing i will never do, tell ron how i feel. "i told you with Voldemort on the rise i don't wanna do anything, i want to ignore my birthday this year." i smiled slightly. year ignoring my birthday this year sucks, especially turning 16, but it's for the best right now. "yeah i know but, we're going on a picnic, just the two is us..." i groaned and put my head under my pillow. he laughed and leaned over and took the pillow off my face looking me in the eyes. "come on at least celebrate with your best friend." not going to lie only be called bestfriend hurt but i don't wanna say my feelings and ruin our friendship. i tried to hide my smiled. "see! your smiling come on let's go." he laughed. he pulled my arms up and helped me out of bed. it was the i realized i was still in my sports bra and slytherin pj shorts. ron's face and tips of his ears became the color of his hair. "oh uh i'm sorry." he said rubbing the back of his neck looking away from my body making me giggle.

ron's pov—
man was y/n gorgeous. her long y/h/c up in a messy bun with hair pulled out, her slytherin shorts and sports bra. i know that sounds bad but how is she gorgeous all the time when just waking up?!?

y/ns pov—
"don't worry about it ron." i laughed. "well i'll meet you downstairs after your done getting ready. dress nice." he smiled with a wink and walked out of the room. man did i love that boy. i put on my favorite summer dress(photo at the end of story), left my hair down letting it fall to my waist, i put on some eyeliner and mascara and the necklace ron got me for my birthday last year, i rarely take it off. (also at the end of story) i looked into the mirror one more time and put on my white converse. i walked downstairs and saw ron sitting on the couch with black dress pants and a white button down and he had the top 2 or 3 buttons in buttoned. damn did he look good. "wow..." he mumbled walking over to me. "you look great love." he smiled making me blush.

"not so bad yourself weasley." i smiled and messed with his hair a little. "ready to go you two?" molly asked. "oh y/n darlings you look lovely. and as always happy birthday." "thank you molly." i responded with a huge smile. "well here you go have fun!" she smiled handing ron a picnic basket. "we'lol be back in a few hours." ron said to his mother with a smile. i swore he could have winked at her. "shall we?" he asked in a funny trying to be fancy voice. "we shall." i said mocking him making us both laugh. i walked behind him leaving the burrow and we talked as we walked. "so ron, where are we going?" i asked. he smiled to himself. "a special spot actually. i found it last year over christmas break and i've been wanting to show you i know you'll love it." i smiled and nodded. we continued to talk as we walked for maybe 15 minutes then we came to a very sunny area with a few trees and large body of water next it it.

there were some vines hanging from trees with flowers and just some flowers scattered around. "ron this is beautiful i smiled gazing at the area." i felt his gaze on me. "isn't it, come on love let's sit." i followed him a little in front of us and he laid down a blanket and sat down as he put the basket down. "here ya go." he said pulling out two plates, 2 sprites (our favorite sodas), and some other snacks. we began to talk and laugh at things we were saying as we ate. after about and hour, "ron this really does mean a lot to me." i said looking towards him. he smiled. "you mean a lot to me." i immediately felt myself blush. maybe i should tell him how i feel.

i mean this is the perfect moment. me looking into his beautiful blue eyes and ginger hair. i moved closer to him and set my head on his shoulder as he talked about the area. "hey y/n." he said. i took my head off his shoulder meeting his eyes. "what's up ron?" i asked. "well i-"

before he could finish i cut him off my placing a gentle kiss on his lips cupping his face with my left hand. i quickly pulled away after noticing he didn't kiss back. i turned away from him and felt myself blush. "i- ron i'm sorry." i began to say but he gentler grabbed my chin and pulled my face to meet his. "never apologize for something like that." he smiled our eyes connected on each other. he pulled me into a kiss as i gladly kissed him back. after about 10 minutes of snogging he pulled away. "i love you..." we both said at the same time. ron started beaming as i felt myself blush. he kissed me on the cheek and pulled me up. he wrapped his strong arms around my waist and i put my arms loosely around his neck. "y/n will you be my girlfriend?" he asked.

a huge smile grew on my face and i didn't even try and hide it. "of course i will." i said and our lips pecked each other's. "oh i almost forgot!!" he said grabbing a wrapped box out of the picnic basket. "happy 16th." he smiled and handed it to me. "ron you really didn't-" "i wanted to." he said cutting me off. i smiled and started to unwrap the box. it was a small velvet box and i opened it to see a ring that matched the necklace he had bought me last year. i gasped looking up at him. "ron it's gorgeous." i said looking up at him. he smiled taking the box and putting the ring on my right pointer finger. "i love you so much." i smiled up at him. he let out a small laugh as i gave him a huge hug. "well we should probably get back now. mum and the others are waiting." ron said. i nodded and we packed up our area and started to walk back to the burrow hand in hand.

by the time we made it back the sun was setting. "why are all the lights off?" i asked looking over at ron. "i don't know love." he said hiding a smile. i walked up opening the door and turned on the lights.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" everyone shouted. i then saw everyone i cared about stand in-front of me with huge smiles. ron's parents, the twins, ginny, hermione, tonks and lupin, harry, draco and cedric. (imagine dracos good just for this lmao) i immediately burried myself into ron's chest hiding my smile, causing everyone to laugh. i turned back to everyone. "you guys really didn't have to." i said looking around and the decorations around the living room and kitchen. "nonsense!! and thank ronald it was his idea." hermione said. i looked up at ron. "really?" i asked with a smile and he nodded. i went on my tippy toes and pecked his lips. "best boyfriend ever." i said

"BOYFRIEND?!? GEORGE YOU OWE ME 5 SICKLES!!" fred yelled looking at his twin. george groaned then handed fred his money.

"well come on i want cake!!" harry said making us laugh.

later that night.

after everyone had left or went to bed i changed back into my pjs, which was really just a sports bra and my slytherin pj pants. i went back into the room me and ron were sharing but tonight we could use the same bed. he was sitting down reading and i got in with him and laid my head on his bare chest wrapping my arms around him causing him to laugh. he put down the book and wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my head. "happy birthday love, i love you." he said quietly. "i love you too." i said and i fell happily asleep knowing i had just had the best birthday.
