Chapter 2

Time skip to Hunter Exam

" You keep having that dream Y/N..."

Gon looked worried.

"It's fine gon, it's only a dream."

Or, you wish it was. It was a memory that kept replaying in your head. But why? It happened years ago. Either way, you couldn't forget that boy. He should've killed you, but he gave you chocolate instead...

Gon looked like he wanted to say something, but was stopped by a man walking up to them. 

"Hey there! I'm Tonpa! Don't think I've seen you around before."

Gon, of course, was the first one to talk.

"I'm Gon! And these are my friends Y/N, Kurapika, and Leorio!"

You smile.

"Hey, how did you know we were new?"

You cocked your head slightly at him.

"Oh! I've been taking..."

You heard him say something about taking the exam tons of times, and about other people who took the exam a lot. You zoned off though. His voice bored on and if you listened to it any longer you might've fallen asleep.

"What do you say, a toast to friendship?"

You snap back to reality as he holds out an orange soda to you, but you shook your head.

"Sorry, I'm not really thirsty."

That was a lie. You were thirsty, but you weren't gonna trust a rando giving you a soda. Especially at the hunter exam, you know how cutthroat the competition is to rookies. Besides, you had water.

He looks disappointed, and slightly angry, but continued to give soda's to the others in your group.

"I think this soda went bad Mr. Tonpa..."

Gon starts to spit out his soda, as does Leorio.

You smirked, knowing it was a good decision not to drink it. 

"Buh-bye Tonpa, we gotta go."

Short Time Skip to the running

Your running and talking to Gon, when you suddenly bump into someone. 

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry-"

You look up and see a boy around your age looking at you. He holds out a hand and smirks.

"Don't worry about it, you ok?"

"Yah..."

What was this feeling... butterflies? 

You ignore his hand and get up on your own, dusting off your legs. You nod to Gon to run ahead, and he goes to catch to Leorio and Kurapika.

"What's your name?"

"Y/N"

"I'm Killua."

"Nice to meet you."

You smile at him.

He smiles back, before looking at the people running ahead of him.

"We should probably catch up."

You look back and remember you are supposed to be running.

"Shoot, yeah your right."

He laughs and the butterflies come again, but you ignore it and run.
