"Mom! Be careful. You can hurt yourself!" Ren shouted as she went into the house.

"Oh honey! I'm only 84 years old." She teased her.

Ren sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm late. I bumped into those border patrol people."

"What?! Be careful!" She gasped but then remembered Ren is free to go back and forth. "Oh wait. Why do I worry? I should worry for myself." Her mother laughed afterwards.

Ren sighed and said. "Honestly, sometimes I forget I'm from the USA. It just feels like I'm a immigrant running all the time from them like if I killed someone..."

"Well, don't run." She smiled.

"Mom? Did you forget about my job?" Ren asked her as she wanted to laugh.

"No of course not. You sell bread to American's and Mexican's." She said with a sweet smile.

Ren clapped her hands. "Wow! Amazing, you just won the best acting award."

They both laughed and Ren got the flour from the top shelf.

"So, is something new going on?"

"Like what?" Ren asked confused.

"In the border. I never heard you sound kind of worried."

"I'm not. This dude just pushes my buttons."

"Dude?" Her mother was now worried for sure.

"I keep bumping into him."

"Oh this is a sign."

"Oh my... mom! Don't start please!" Ren was already annoyed.

"Honey, listen to me. That boy will get us in serious problems."

"You sound like I like him!"

She just glared at Ren. I mean it was her daughter after all and knew her better than anyone. She may be an immigrant but that doesn't mean she's stupid.

Ren gasped. "What?! You think I like him."

"Not now but you will."

Ren just held her head. "Are you craz-"

Her mother almost smacked her with her flip-flop. "What?!"

Ren chuckled. "Nothing."

"Mothers know everything. Just beware of him."

"Mom! He works for the BORDER PATROL! HE'S AN AGENT AND IS DANGEROUS!" Ren informed her.

Her mother smiled. "Oh. I see you already looked him up and everything."

"He arrested me and that's why I looked him up. Well, Jimin did but still."

"He arrested you?!" Her mother almost had a heart attack.

Ren completely forgot she can't tell her everything. "Oh sorry! Well, he couldn't charge me of anything. You know they can't. I'm clean."

"Ren... I don't like this. I think you should stop..."

"What?! Are you craz-..." Ren stopped and changed her wording. "I can't stop. These people cross over to have a better life like us. You're one of them. Don't be like this." Ren begged her.

She sighed and said "Yeah, as long as you don't be putting your life in danger. Ren this is all illegal and I don't want to see you in jail."

"I won't go. I never been caught. I been doing this since I was like 13 years old. I know how to cross these people safely and I do every time."
