AS JANUARY CAME TO A CLOSE, CASSIOPEIA AND RON'S RELATIONSHIP WAS GOING STEADY. They were taking it slow and not trying to get too caught up in the moment, but it was hard sometimes. They were always sneaking off at random moments just to spend time with each other since they couldn't openly do it. Ron was respecting Cassiopeia's wishes to keep their relationship a secret, but he wished that he was able to do some things more openly.

He wished that he was able to hug her or kiss her without people staring at him like he was insane. He wished that he was able to walk with her in the halls or sit with her in class without getting treated like he was a madman. He wished that he was able to even talk to or look at her without students in green robes hissing and threatening him. But he understood why Cassiopeia wanted to do things in secret and he was going to respect that, even if he didn't want to.

Cassiopeia still hadn't spoken to Draco nor had he spoken to her. He was still a bit upset about her running out of the Great Hall and rejecting her but Cassiopeia didn't care. He was acting like a fool over something he shouldn't have done. Cassiopeia knew that he would eventually get over it but, for the time being, she would have to endure his silent treatment and dirty looks.

She had friends other than Draco. Daphne, Tracey, and Millicent still talked to her in the dorms, even though Pansy told them not to. Blaise sat with her in classes and talked to her during meals. He was never the friendliest person to be around but he still said hello to her whenever their paths crossed and was cordial.

She also had Ron and his friends, who she was slowly warming up to. Hermione would smile and wave at her and Harry would at least look at her without a glare. Fred and George were ecstatic to hear that she and Ron had sorted things out but were a bit disappointed that they weren't officially dating. They pestered her about it for a while but instantly stopped after Cassiopeia pulled out her wand and threatened to hex them. They didn't believe her until she performed the Tongue-Tying Curse.

Her lessons with Ron were going well too. She had noticed that sometimes Ron would drift off and wouldn't really pay attention to what she was saying. She often caught him staring at her before she would tell him to pay attention. It took a while for her to admit that she would stare at him too. It was hard not to.

Cassiopeia thought it was nice that Ron wanted to spend so much time with her, but it was hard to do so since she couldn't stay long before someone noticed she was missing. Zethus almost caught her coming out of the library and Thalia noticed that she turned up to lunch fifteen minutes late one day with a lot less chapstick. She had made up the lame excuse that she was asking Professor Flitwick a question about the Banishing Spell instead of admitting that she had been in an unused classroom on the third floor with Ron Weasley.

Currently, Cassiopeia was walking to dinner with her siblings. They were both complaining about O.W.Ls and how close they were. Zethus was practically begging Thalia to lend him her notes but she kept refusing. "Please, Thal. I'll do anything, I swear. Just give them to me and I'll copy them down quick."
