CASSIOPEIA THOUGHT ABOUT THE SECRET MEETING IN HOGSMEADE FOR THE NEXT WEEK

CASSIOPEIA THOUGHT ABOUT THE SECRET MEETING IN HOGSMEADE FOR THE NEXT WEEK. She had been growing paranoid. What if someone found out she was going? Someone like her siblings, or Draco. They wouldn't waste a minute before running to send an owl to her father. And then what would happen? Cassiopeia was sure her father would storm into Hogwarts and slice her throat right in the middle of the Great Hall. He wouldn't care what his daughter would offer up as a poor explanation. She had been fraternizing with Harry Potter, a sworn enemy, and that was all he needed to know.

As the day of the Hogsmeade trip drew closer, Cassiopeia's worries started to diminish. Neither Draco nor the twins, or any other Slytherin student, seemed suspicious. It was normal. Draco was complaining about something, Pansy was still desperately trying to get his attention, Crabbe and Goyle were still the biggest idiots alive, and the twins were spending all their time either doing homework or playing Quidditch. Nobody seemed out of the ordinary.

This helped relieve Cassiopeia's worries a bit. She was just getting inside her own head too much, which was something that never happened often. It had only happened once or twice before. The first time was after her mother died and Cassiopeia was paranoid that she would die too. And the last time was only a few months ago. She had gotten so scared and worried that her father would find out about her and Ron Weasley that she pushed him away. Something that she still hadn't gotten over.

"Cass, can you believe the homework McGonagall gave us?" Draco asked as the group of Slytherins walked through the corridor. But Cassiopeia wasn't paying attention to him. She didn't care about the essay Professor McGonagall had assigned to them. She was too busy looking at the piece of paper that was flying over the students' heads.

Cassiopeia felt her heart sink as she recognized it. That was the same way she and Ron used to send secret notes to each other. Ron had figured out a way to send notes where only he and Cassiopeia were the only ones who could read them, so no one would know that they were communicating. Cassiopeia remembered how she thought it was sweet he did that. He had gone out of his way to do something that would protect her.

The parchment fluttered over the Slytherin's head before it landed on the floor. Draco, who had stopped talking when Cassiopeia did not respond, also noticed the paper and quickly snatched it up off the floor. Cassiopeia reached for it but Draco jerked back, trying to see what was on it. He raised a brow, "What is this? Someone threw a blank piece of parchment at us?"

"I bet some stupid Gryffindork did it," Pansy sneered. "Probably Hermione Granger, that ugly Mudblood."

Cassiopeia scoffed and ripped the paper out of Draco's hands. Her eyes scanned over the words that were written in the neatest handwriting Cassiopeia had ever seen. She knew that must've been Hermione Granger's because she knew for a fact that Ron could never write so well. His writing was closer to illegible chicken scratch.
