Day 1- We Won The War (part 2)

(May 4th, 9:30 pm)

KATARA'S POV:

I turned to Aang to see what he was doing- to see how he was doing. But he wasn't there. My eyes widened and my heartbeat started to pick up. Why isn't he there? Why-

My thoughts were interrupted when a giant metal crashing noise was made down below Zuko and I. What is the world is going on? We win the war two minutes ago (more like 10- Zuko forced me to "catch my breath" before I checked on Aang) and people are already starting fights? Can this day get any worse?

"It's not my fault this thing is a piece of shit!" My eyes widened as I turned to Zuko, who was smiling and nodded towards the staircase. It's Sokka! He's okay! I skipped the stairs and made a water funnel, safely bringing myself down the balcony. "You try steering it!" 

"Yeah, sure, let the blind girl steer the giant- you know what, I'm probably better at that than you!" I leapt into Sokka's arms and wrapped mine around his neck, smiling into his chest. 
"Sokka! You're okay!" He grinned as he wrapped one arm around me, rubbing up and down my back. "Hey, sis. How'd Azula go? You kill her yet?" Zuko showed up behind me and muttered, "no she didn't. We're sending her to the FNMHH." 

"The what now?"

"Katara, did you just jump off the balcony?" I smiled as I broke off of my brother and nodded. He smiled as he messed up my hair and slowly pecked my forehead. "I'm so glad you're safe." I smiled as I leant into him again, but was stopped once I realized he was leaning on Suki. 

"Did you-" 

"Snoozles broke his leg," Toph snorted. I smiled as I walked over to hug her, trying to sniff away my tears. "Calm down, Katara," she laughed, "it's okay. Everyone's here and safe and I know damn well you saw your boyfriend do that magic shit because honestly... even I saw it." 

"Huh?" I asked, breaking off. Toph smirked. "Got you. Snoozles did break his leg, though." Sokka gasped, "hey! I saved your life!" Toph raised her eyebrow. "Actually, Suki did." Suki rolled her eyes and let Zuko hold my brother as she walked over to me and away from the two fighting over who saved Toph in the background. 

"Did you see how close Ozai was to- well, you know?" I looked up at her to see her face winced. "Sorry, Tara. I know how much you love him." I smiled and leaned into her as she wrapped her arms around me. "It was so weird, Suki. It felt like I was dying when he was... I literally couldn't breathe. My heart stopped and my throat closed." 

"That sounds like every time you cry though." I smiled into her chest as she snickered. "This was different, Suki." She smiled and pushed my head back into her chest as she rubbed circles on my back. She suddenly stopped. 

"Katara," she whispered, turning me around. I saw a dot flying in the distance. I'd know that dot anywhere. "It's Aang." I saw Appa almost close to the ground, and Aang with his glider in his hand. He jumped. 

Once I saw him hop off of Appa, I wasted no time in screaming his name and running over to him. The wind blew everything possible in my face, but I didn't give two shits. I just wanted to see my love one more time. Just once. I ran and ran and ran until he was in my sight, and once he saw me, his pupils dilated. Oh my gosh. 

The two of us both continued to run the mile (yes, a whole mile) between us before he was finally in my grip, knocking us on his back. He grunted as my arms wrapped around his shoulders, crying into his chest again. He rubbed my back and placed his head on mine, whispering sweet nothings into my ear. 

"I missed you so much," I whispered. He finally sat us up as he whispered back, "I missed you more, sweetie." My heart melted at the sound of his voice- the sound I've been missing and dying to hear for the last three days. 

I locked my ankles behind his back and cried into his neck as he continued to rub my back in circles, calming me down greatly. "I'm so sorry," he whispered into my ear. "I'll never leave again. I promise. I'll always be here for you." My heart wouldn't stop beating as his hands worked on my back and I just bawled into his neck. "Never leave me," I sobbed. "I missed you so much." 

I felt his own tears on my head and looked up to see him crying, too. "I missed you more," he whispered, cupping my face with his hand. I wanted to kiss him. Do it. No. Why not? He'll hate me. He's in love with you. No, he's not. Bitch-

"Katara," he whispered. I opened my eyes and realized we were barely a hairsbreadth away. He was so close. I could kiss him by leaning forward half an inch. I saw his eyes widen and his pupils dialate. Say it, Aang. "I lo-"

"Twinkletoes! Come help us load this loser into the prison!" I groaned as Toph and Zuko walked over. "Now?" he asked. "Did you two not see us almost kiss? I hate you guys." Zuko smirked. "Oh, right. I totally 100,000% forgot about the two of you. But now at least you can start a relationship." 

"Shut up, Sparky, no one asked for your permission," I giggled, turning around and laying in Aang's lap. "Hey, no stealing my nicknames for people. Especially idiots." I shrugged as Zuko raised his eyebrow. "Who're you calling an idiot?"

"Come on, Twinkletoes, we don't have all fucking day. Let's go." Aang looked at me and smiled. "I'll be right back, Katara. I promise." I sighed as I got up and hugged him slowly, dreading the pull away. But I guess I had to deal with it.

"Is that Tylee and Mai?"

Everyone jumped away from the staircase as I instantly hid behind Aang, who took an octopus stance. Toph made a boulder hanging above the two's heads. Mai just sat there as Tylee squeaked and ran backwards. Strangely enough, Suki, Sokka, and Zuko just stayed there. 

Zuko put fire on Aang's water, which shot it out, and stepped on Toph's foot, which dropped the boulder and made Toph punch him. In the guts. He groaned as Mai shot a dagger towards Toph, which almost hit her. "Hey! Watch it!"  

Sokka and Suki explained how they helped them at a Fire Nation prison or something, and they're in our group now. 

After a minute, we were finally inside the Fire Nation Palace living room. Aang sat down next to me and we just talked with everyone for a while. 

But one thing stayed on my mind the whole time: How do I tell Aang how I feel?

Hey yall! okay so i did this whole chapter in like two hours because i have to go to sleep and i also have work and i didn't have the time to finish it this week because i was really busy with violet being a bitch and my life being upside down and parents and friends being sick and birthdays being ruined so im sorry this is kinda horrible and shitty but i do have to go right now. im so sorry !! i love you all and i hope you were able to enjoy this chapter((:
