A/N : okay I KNOW that this is like two weeks early, but I'm too excited to wait since I literally wrote this in a day. Another update next Friday tho.

Previously on A New Hero :
"Chloe-" Fynn starts to say, but soon gets interrupted by none other then Auri ripping open the door, a terrified look on her face.
I turn to her in both shock in confusion, never seeing her that scared before. "Auri, what-"
"Grab your stuff, guys. We're leaving." She replies quickly.
Me and the other three look at each other in fear.
Oh, no.
— — —
What happened?!" I ask Auri with fear, stuffing some supplies in a bag. I see the other three doing the same as Auri shakes her head.
"Fin said he saw the GIA when he was getting food on a run. We need to leave, now." She orders, and I quickly zip the bag closed, throwing it over my shoulder.
"But they don't know we're here, do they?" Ella asks, masking her fear with a cool expression as she runs over to me, another bag on her shoulder.
"No, they don't. But we need to go." Auri replies as Fynn and Ren come over to us, bags also on their arms.
"Yeah, okay. Let's go." Ren says, and Auri nods, ushering us out the door.
My heart begins to race as we barrel out the door, the cramped hallway seeming too tight of a space.
"You alright?" Ella whispers to me, shoving over to my side and looking at me with a worried expression. I force a smile, nodding.
Even though 'alright' is the total opposite of what I'm feeling right now.
"Try to stay out of sight." Auri mutters to the four of us as we come up to the door that leads out of the apartment hallway. "We're gonna have to separate. A smaller group is harder to spot."
"What?! No! What if the GIA catches us?!" I ask frantically, the expressions of my three companions mirroring my own worried one. Auri looks at me hard.
"You'll be fine. Like I said before, Esh will have you covered if anything like that happens. Trust me." She explains. I take a deep breath before nodding.
"Okay, fine." I reply, before she asks me where our ship is, making sure I know where to go. I tell her I know, since the location is already ingrained in my memory with the immense amount of fear attached to it.
"Alright. Be careful, all four of you." Auri orders, looking at each of us in turn. When her gaze comes to mine, she smiles, placing a hand on my shoulder and squeezing it. "Don't die."
And without another word, she leaves us, opening the door and ducking her head through the crowd.
-
"Okay, everyone stay close. We have no idea what's out here." Fynn says protectively, leading us forward.
"Ha, look at you, being responsible." Ella cracks nervously. Nobody bothers to tell her to shut up, and my eyes widen.
Wow, this really is freaking them both out.
I move some more of my hair in front of my face, biting my lip. They can't see me. I can't let them see me.
