Tears collect in my eyes.

I sit down on my bed, taking deep breaths, trying to calm down.

With the breaths, my heart rate slows down enough to actually think.

Okay, so Esh found another trigger.

But they couldn't have known where I am...

But that doesn't matter. I need to keep the girl here, and show her how to use Esh's abilities. She can't be showing them in public.

I shove the thought away, and change into my pajamas. I'll take a shower in the morning.

As I go to turn off the light, I see myself in the faded mirror next to my dresser.

I have muscles now. I have scars across my skin, some small, and some bigger. My skin looks bleached, and like it hasn't seen the sun in weeks.

But I still have that white strip in my hair, and that damn white eye.

I changed. I know I have.

I hope that I still show some resemblance of my old self.

I sigh, turn off the light, and slip into bed. I see a drawing of my family that I drew a while ago, taped to the wall. I smile at it as I fall asleep.

Tomorrow is going to be a big day.
