13 : you can't fix anything - Auri

A/N : okay, since we're finally getting into the nitty gritty, I'm gonna switch up the logistics of this book a bit. Since I wanna include the OG Aurora characters along with my new ones, we're gonna split the remaining chapters into two kinds. One is gonna be in Chloe's POV, the other in Auri's. So yeah. Enjoy the first official Auri chapter!
(and yes I'm going to include more things then the actual AC series did in this chapter cause I can)

"Goddammit!" I hiss, throwing Magellan onto a chair with a thump. Scarlett walks over to me, a concerned smile on her face.

"You okay Ar?" She asks gently, and I huff.

"Chloe and her friends are all alone out there, and Chloe still isn't properly trained. They could get hurt, or killed, or something." I snap, running a hand through my hair in frustration. Scar sighs, putting a hand on my shoulder.

"I'm sure they're fine. You were, and you weren't properly trained either." She comforts, and I blow out a breath, looking at her with a smile.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm sure they'll be fine-"

"The gang is back together again!" Finian cheers, walking into the main bay with Zila and Tyler trailing behind him. Scarlett rolls her eyes, but I chuckle.

I missed them.

"Okay Fin, we get it. You don't need to shout." Tyler says, smiling slightly. Fin sighs dramatically.

"Way to ruin my fun Goldenboy." He teases, and I snort, before feeling the need to ask the question that's been on my mind for a while now.

"Alright, um...anyone know where we're going?" I ask quietly, and everyone pauses.

"No, but wouldn't you want to find your friend?" Zila asks after a moment, playing with an earring. I nod.

She's right. I have to find Chloe before anything happens.

I hope she hasn't had to do anything with her powers yet.

"Yeah, you're right Z. I just don't know where her ship went. If Magellan didn't-" I mutter the last part, holding up Magellan and inspecting it. The screen is black, and the back is cold, no life to it.

"Let me see." Fin says, walking over to me and holding out his hand. I hesitantly drop Magellan into his hand, and he inspects it. "It looks like it's broken. I can fix it if you want."

My eyes widen. "Really?" I ask, and he chuckles, nodding.

"Yeah, really. I'll fix it for the second time in my life if you need me to." He replies with a playful smile, and I nod.

"That would be amazing. Thanks, Fin." I breath, and he chuckles a bit, squeezing my shoulder.

"No problem. Looks like I'm back on the case. Honestly, this thing can die out really quickly. You should really get-"

I snack him on the shoulder, to Tyler and Scarlett's chuckle and Zila's gasp. "NO. MINE." I demand, and Fin holds up his hands.

"Okay okay! Just trying to be helpful."

"Well, it's not being helpful. Fix Magellan so I can talk to my friend, please." I say sweetly, sarcasm lining my words. Scarlett whistles.

"Well okay Aurora O'Malley, look at you being sassy. Don't wanna mess with her, Fin."

"Yeah, I know. Let me just get my tools..." He says, retreating from the room and muttering to himself.

I sigh, leaning my chin on my hand.
