Ok, this is it, Elissa. I kept thinking, as I paced around the room. It was about four in the morning, and I couldn't go back to sleep. I was still, aghast by the nightmare I had and it was repetedly playing over and over again in my head. I got startled by a knock on the door. "Come in" I said. I breathed in deeply and sat on my bed as the door opened. It was Dylan.

"I'm fine Dylan, I'm just nervous that's all" I said getting up and beginning to pace again. He closed the door and sat on my bed. He stayed silent while I continued to pace.

"Elissa?"

"Yes?"

"Please stop." He said, worriedly.

"Sorry. I't's a habit." I said as I sat down beside him. "No not the pacing, i mean stop worrying. Your stressing about what's in the letter. Why don't you just open it."  I looked at him.

"It's not easy you know!" I said, my voice raised.

"I never said it was. I just... I've never seen you so scared, worried. You must have had a really bad nightmare."

"Huh. that's more of an understatement." I said, hesitating.

"You know, you were talking in your sleep" I looked at him, awkwardly. "That's kind of embarassing...but anyway what was I saying?"

"I can't remember exactly, but something along the lines of 'I hate you'  and 'How could you do this?'"

I just nodded to myself and facepalmed.

"It, just felt so real."

"Well, if you want to talk about it I'm here."

I looked up and nodded. "Yeah, I know but maybe later. I just want to get this over and done with."

"I understand." He said nodding back, rubbing my back slightly.

"Anyway, I'll let you have some space. Remember, if you need me I'm here for you" He said giving me a sad smile, before leaving.

Once that door closed, I let a huge breath out. I calmed myslef down a bit, before starting to unseal the envelope.  Ok, Elissa, here goes nothing...

Dear Elissa,

If you are reading this, I hope you are sitting down because what I am about to tell you is big news. Now that you have started there is no turning back.

Elissa, Your whole life has been a lie from the day your parents left. You know the car accident you have been telling everyone that your parents died in? That was a lie. I am glad to say that your Mother is alive and doing well. Unfortuantely, I can't tell you where your mother is as I don't know where she is at this moment. However I can say that your mother, is the most wonderful person ever.  She is such a caring and loving person and she loves you very much.  You are very lucky to have her.

As far as your father, I have very grave news. I am sorry to say, but he sadly passed away. A few weeks after your parents left he was killed. That is all I Know and I am truly sorry, you have my deepest sympathy.

Now, there are some things that you need to know.

Your mother is my sister, which therefore means that I am your auntie. I am finally glad I could say this because I have been meaning to call you my neice ever since that day, but I couldn't. And I am sorry.   Keith summers is also my brother which makes him your uncle, but i presume you already knew that from the day you were sent to White Pine Bay.

Ok, now this is the most important part of this letter. There may have been some lies about yourself Elissa. However it is not my place to tell you who you are, this is for yourself to find out. That is why I have sent you to Keith summers. I was the one who sent you to White Pine Bay. (Apart from the fact that I wanted you to get away from Jack.) You are probably wondering why, and I will tell you.  I asked Keith summers to look after this box for you, it contains all your information and everything about yourself. I must warn you, however, some of the things... in fact all of the things you read will be quite surprising. He owns a motel and I told him to keep it safe. He told me he placed it in one of the back rooms in the motel reception. I hope for your sake you do find it. Once you get your hands on that box and you open it your whole life will change. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, that is for you to decide.

I am so sorry Elissa, for keeping this from you this whole time, and I understand if you will never forgive me but it had to be done for a reason. I also apologise for not giving you all the information you were hoping for, but I can assure you that all your answers will be in that box.

I pray we will meet again my darling Elissa, be careful and Goodluck my love.

Yours truly

Aunt Joanne. xx

I stared at the letter processing all the information that was said. Everything that happened since that day has been one big lie. But how? I was willing to find out. No matter how long this took, I needed to know who I really was and why this was kept from me.

I folded the leffter in half and placed it back in unitl I felt something at the bottom of the envelope. confused,  I put my hand inside and what I took out widened my eyes. It was a bracelet. Not just any bracelet. It was the exact same braclet as what Norma had downstairs in that box. Same colour, same shape, same charms. The only difference was the letter. Instead of 'N' it was 'R'.

It was my mother's bracelet.
