The next day I woke up from the bright light in my room. It felt different. I got up and a sudden dizziness entered my head. I slowly walked to the bathroom and stood in front of the mirror. I slowly unraveled the bandage, Emma had placed on the night before. It had blood stains but had already dried up. I washed the wound and placed a small clear, plaster which I found In a small first aid kit in the cupboard. After that I freshened up. I had a quick shower and found something to wear. I quickly straightened my hair and hurried along downstairs.

I felt awkward walking down the steps, retracing what had happened the night before, though Dylan told me there was nothing to worry about. I reached the kitchen and find Norman sitting at the table, eating his cereal, while Norma was cooking. I pulled the chair back and sat down, opposite Norman.
"Good Morning."he said before placing a spoonful of cereal in his mouth.
"Hey" I replied. Just then Norma turned around and noticed me. Out of nowhere my heart started to pound. She gave me a big smile and I gave a half one in return before continuing to cook.
She can't just expect everything to be fine, she can't pretend like nothing happened!! Suddenly my thoughts were unexpectedly distracted by someone saying my name.
"Hello Elissa. Had a good sleep?" Dylan asked, whilst getting bread and shoving it in the toaster. "Uhh...yeah. I guess" I replied. Just then Norma placed what seemed to be my breakfast in front of me, though it looked as though it could be a two course meal, with the amount of food I had on the plate. "Thanks" I said to her, as she left the room.
"Hey Norma, your forgetting something!" Dylan shouted, though she had probably gone upstairs. "It's ok, I can get it. It's just a knife and fork" I said getting up. I searched the draws and cupboard but couldn't find it. "Um, Dylan' where are your cutlery?" I asked trying not to make a fool of myself by looking around in every single cupboard. "Don't worry I'll get it" he said smirking. He opened two draws away from me, and took out a knife and fork and handed me them.
"Thanks" I said, as I grab them off him. We both stood for a moment gazing into each other, before we both got startled by the toast popping out of he toaster, making us both slightly jump. I went to sit down while he grabbed his toast. He then sat down next to Norman. Well this was really awkward. Two guys. In front of me. I had to break the silence...anymore I probably would have died of awkwardness..
"So." I began, cutting a bit of my sausage. "Norma is your mum, right?" I say eyeing Dylan, though Norman answered for him. "Yes she's my mother. It's Dylan's half mother too." I just nod while I take a bite into my sausage. I wait till I swallow my food before I continue. "I don't mean to sound rude... You don't even have to answer me if you don't have to...but out of curiosity, why don't you call your mum...mum?" We all just sit in silence for a while, until he coughs. I don't know if it was because he got bread crumbs stuck in his throat maybe or because he was trying not to make it any more awkward. "Well, you know she doesn't really deserve to be called mum. She doesn't give a crap about me and she is just insane. All she cares about is Norman this, Norman that..."
"Norman...is right here" Norman said, continuing his sentence. "And maybe if you weren't so horrible to mother, maybe she would give a damn about you! Dylan, you don't even respect our mother, you even have her on your phone as
'the whore'!." I nearly chocked on my food. "Come again..." I said, though before he could say anything, Dylan had grabbed him from his shirt and had him pinned against the fridge. "We already had this talk, Norman Bates. Remember that incident that occurred...or do I have to remind you....even better show you?" Norman had his mouth open ready to say something when I quickly butted in. "Dylan, put him down, he didn't do anything." I said, in a firm tone, though it did absolutely nothing. Great me and my big mouth congratulations Elissa for causing an unnecessary fight. He ignored me. "Your just an arrogant jerk that has no respect for anyone!" Norman spat. I could see Dylan raging with anger, one hand was tightly clutched onto his shirt and the other hand was clenched into a fist as if he was ready to whip him. I'm surprised that Norma wasn't here to see this, and do they always get into fights like this? I was getting worried that this was going to turn really bad, so I raised my tone. "Dylan stop!" I shouted making him turn around to look at me. His eyes wasn't beautiful when he was angry like now. It's different. It's sad and scary at the same time. He instantly slammed him down onto the ground with a thud, before storming out. I ran to Norman helped him up. "Hey are you ok?" I asked worriedly."Yes. I'm fine" he said dusting off himself. "Thank you" he said and sat back down in his chair and finished the last bit of cereal left in his bowl. I gave him a sorrowful look, before heading outside, towards Dylan. I found him outside pacing back and forth next to his truck. I ran down the stairs. Luckily I had flats on so I was safe. When I reached the bottom I stomped up in front of him.
"Are you crazy? What the hell was that about?" I was practical yelling at him.
"Nothing" he replied bluntly. "Nothing? Really nothing?! That Dylan was not nothing...that was definitely something! You could have hurt your brother really bad if I didn't stop you!! You looked worse than angry!"
"Don't worry I've done it many times, and I've already punched him before when he annoyed me last time" he said leaning against the truck, arms folded.
"Oh Bravo! Do you want a prize, or gold medal? Are you proud of yourself?Congratulations for being a mean brother!" Ok... That did not come out as planned but you know I couldn't have let him got away with it.
"Loving the sarcasm" he said smirking. " Now do me a big favour and Leave me ALONE! He said, angrily, while opening his truck door and jumping inside. I was quite surprised at his anger, towards me considering I didn't do anything bad, other than stick up for Norman since he didn't really do anything! I watched him in. Dismay, while he drove off away from the motel.
