The first thing I noticed when I woke up from my nap was that I had been lying down in a comfortable bed. Presumably my own. The last thing I remember before having a nap was being in Dylan's car, so he must have brought me to my room. It took hardly any time for me to adjust to the lighting, never mind open my eyes since there was no light coming from the outside. I definitely slept in longer than I had planned but it was worth it. I turned to face my bedside cabinet where my phone and the envelope were laying on top. I picked up the envelope and took out the bracelet and studied it. I've been doing that a lot recently. In fact since the day I  read the letter. In a sense it's  what keeps me going really. It's the  only thing that I can still feel  part of my mother.  She could be on the other  side of  the world for all I know but having this was more than  enough. Yes, I am more than upset that many things have been kept from me, and there is still so much more I need to find out but It felt a huge relief to know that she was alive and well even if she wasn't here.

My thoughts were interrupted from screaming coming from the outside hallway. I got up and slowly opened my door slightly revealing the bright light which came from the hallway but also two shadows. One shadow was tall and masculine- probably Dylan. The other slightly shorter and more feminine. Norma. I heard them arguing something about Norman but I couldn't exactly understand what it was they were arguing about. Unless...

My eyes widened. Everything rushed back to me with Norman and his blackouts, what he did to me...downstairs. Oh my God downstairs! What if Dylan told Norma the whole truth. I opened my door harder than I intended and walked towards them until I was insight. Everything fell silent as their argument came to a halt. To my surprise I saw Dylan pushing his mum up against the wall whilst tears streamed down her face. I looked up in confusion.

"Uh...what's going on?" I asked my voice croaky.

"None of your business Elissa." Dylan replied nastily before abruptly letting go of his mum. He frowned before walking passed me nudging my arm against his, on purpose. I rolled my eyes and watched him as he stomped down the stairs. Once he was out of sight I turned back to face Norma.

"Are you okay Norma?" I asked concerned going towards her. She fixed her dress before wiping away her remaining tears. She nodded several times.

"Yes, I'm fine." she said heading towards her room. I furrowed my eyebrows but shrugged my shoulders. My eyes quickly widened before I ran down the stairs and into the kitchen. I scanned the room and there was no broken glasses, plates, cupboards...anything. That was a huge relief. Dylan leaned against the fridge with a beer in his hand. He watched me probably thinking I was insane. I looked towards his direction before we met eyes.

"What?"

"Nothing" he replied simply, whilst taking a swig of his beer. I continued to look around.

"What happened...where did...how did everything get so clean?" I asked in disbelief.

"Like I said...I handled everything."

"Course you did." I replied before pushing him away from the fridge. Of course he was way stronger than me so I was unable to even move him slightly.

"Excuse me." I said giving up moving him out of the way. I motioned him to just scoot away.  He stood still and looked at me with a smirk plastered on his face.

"Dylan Please just move." I said impatiently, rolling my eyes.

"Oh so you do have manners!" He grinned as he moved and sat on the chair facing me. I rolled my eyes ignoring his comment.  I opened the fridge and  took out some juice. I opened one of the cupboards near me and grabbed a glass cup. I poured some juice in the cup before placing the carton back in the fridge.

"How comes your back so early?" I asked. He looked at me as he drank more beer before placing the bottle on the table.

"How comes you woke up so late?" He sarcastically commented. "Which reminds me...Are you going to thank me?" I looked up at him and snickered.

"For what?"

"For taking you to your room while you were sleeping. You know compared to others I'm a very nice guy. If it were someone else you would have made your own way to your room." I smirked.

"Nice? Ha. Okay...now that's just...nope that's definitely the alcohol talking." I laughed before taking a sip from my drink.

"Besides I don't need to thank you for anything I didn't ask you to take me to my room now did I?" I questioned him sarcastically as I took another gulp of my drink. I expected him to have a witty comeback thrown right back at me but nothing was said, which kind of surprised me.

"Where's Norman?" I asked wondering where he actually was, and to see  if he would hint anything about the fight he had with Norma. I took another few sips down.

"Out getting laid." I almost chocked on my drink.

"Wow...Okay enough said." I stated, awkwardly. He sniggered. The doorbell suddenly rang  causing both Dylan and I to look in the same direction.

"I'll get it" I quickly said. I looked at Dylan one last time before heading to the door. I opened it only to stand there wide eyed. Zack Shelby, Sheriff Romero and three other sheriffs stood there. I furrowed my eyebrows.

"Uhh...hi?" It came out more of a question than a greeting. What was I more baffled at; why they were all here at this time of night or the fact there are five sheriffs standing outside the house. I looked over at Zack who gave me an evil smirk. This definitely frightened me.

"Elissa, is Norma inside?" Romero asked taking my eyes off Zack. He pointed at the door making me glance behind me quickly before I looked back at him.

"Why? Has anything happened?"

"Elissa, Just answer the question." He raised his voice sternly startling me.

"Y-yes she's inside." I stuttered.

"Ok. Bring her here for me please." I looked at them worryingly before I headed inside. I saw Dylan as he started to come towards me, out of the kitchen. I cleared my throat.

"Norma" I shouted.

"Coming!" I heard her say from upstairs.

"Who is it?" Dylan asked as he gained closer to me.

"The uhm, cops" I stated as his eyes also grew wide. I saw Norma hurriedly run down the stairs. Something wasn't right.  For some reason I felt like it was a bad idea calling Norma...what if something bad happened? No, It's definitely bad. At this time of night five cops showing up at the door...something had been going on. And it worried the hell out of me. Dylan's face also looked as if he was also questioning what was going on. Norma had reached the door before Dylan could get a chance to speak.

"Norma Louise bates; you are under arrest for the murder of Keith summers." The house went silent. It took a few seconds to sink into my head. I had to repeat the words to confirm that this was definitely happening. I was not asleep. Nope I was very much awake. My breathing began to quicken and my whole body was shaking. It was as if I had no control of my hands, letting the glass cup slip out of my hand, causing it to smash on the floor. I saw it had startled Dylan. He look at me for a moment but he instantly turned back at the incident dared not to move a muscle. I wasn't even able to think straight. I felt betrayed. All along this family had been lying to me. All this time I had been living with the people who killed my uncle and I never knew.  I felt numb and speechless. I completely froze and watched in horror as Norma bates was getting handcuffed and taken out of the house, not looking back.
